Use khadi, wear khadi: NMC advises doctors, medical colleges, hospital
Stressing the need to encourage the use of health beneficiary and eco-friendly products, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all the medical colleges and hospitals across the country to utilise Khadi products which are specially designed and manufactured for medical professionals.
The notification to this effect issued under the authority of Dr Aruna V Vanikar, President of the NMC's Under-Graduate Medical Education Board, calls for the usage of Khadi products by doctors, medical colleges and hospital management at their institutes to boost health and community development in India.

Monkeypox cases rise to over 550, infections spreading undetected: WHO
As the number of monkeypox virus cases are increasing day by day, World Health Organisation (WHO) said "infections may be spreading undetected'.
While, so far, most cases have been reported among men who have sex with men presenting with symptoms at sexual health clinics, "the sudden appearance of monkeypox in many countries at the same time suggests there may have been undetected transmission for some time," said WHO Director-General .
Relief for students: Telangana HC keeps cancellation of medical seats on hold
Amid the growing concern regarding the future of students who got enrolled in the private medical colleges in Telangana, the vacation bench of High Court has put a stay on the National Medical Commission's order of cancelling admission of 150 fresh candidates at the TRR Institute of Medical Sciences until the Apex Medical Body takes a call on the statutory appeal filed by the aggrieved college.
The stay order was passed by a bench comprising of Justices Anninreddy Abhishek Reddy and Justice Mummineni Sudheer Kumar as it noted that the NMC Act itself provides for a statutory appeal and the Institute has already filed an appeal before the Apex Medical Body, reports TNIE.

Surgeons transplant 3D ear made of living cells
A medical team from the US said on Thursday that the team had reconstructed a human ear using patient's own tissue to create a 3D bioimplant. They hope the procedure can be used for the treatment of the people with a rare birth defect.
AuriNovo, as the implant is called, was developed by the company 3DBio Therapeutics while the surgery was led by Arturo Bonilla, founder and director of the Microtia-Congenital Ear Deformity Institute in San Antonio, Texas.
INI SS July 2022: AIIMS cancels candidature of 75 applicants
Through a recent notice, the AIIMS has informed about the cancellation of the candidature of 75 applicants vying to appear for INI-SS Entrance Examination for admission in DM, MCh and MD Hospital Administration courses for July- 2022 session.
This notification is in continuation to Result regarding AIIMS Merit List (AML) & Common Merit List (CML) as well as the earlier notice regarding uploading of requisite document in support of eligibility claimed for a seat in respective courses/specialty.
Candidates who are listed in the document attached as per their roll numbers, have neither uploaded the requisite documents at the link provided at their MyPage nor at the link sent on their email. All these candidates have been issued several reminders by email & SMS but they have not responded in any manner.

Women more likely to develop skin rash from Moderna COVID vaccine: Japanese study
A study in Japan found that women were significantly more likely than men to develop rash-like side effects after a first dose of Moderna Inc's COVID-19 vaccine.
The study of 5,893 participants between May and November last year showed that 22.4% of women developed delayed skin reactions after the first shot, compared to 5.1% of men.
