Free NEET coaching for tribal students launched in JnK
The Jammu and Kashmir Tribal Affairs Department on Tuesday launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to provide coaching for meritorious tribal students preparing for NEET and JEE entrance exams, officials said.
The course fee will be sponsored by the department and the candidates qualifying for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) after coaching will also be provided with a scholarship, they said

Review pension age of AYUSH doctors, decide within three months: HC tells Govt
Dismissing the Kerala Administrative Tribunal (KAT) order, the State High Court has now directed the Government to review the facts regarding the plea for raising the retirement age of AYUSH doctors to 60 and take a call on the matter within three months.
The High Court division bench comprising of Justice A K Jayasankaran Nambiar and Justice Mohammed Nias CP dismissed the KAT order as it took note of the fact that the State has not taken any decision on the matter

41 doctors get Medical Council rap for photographs, claims in advertisements
Terming the practice of publishing photographs of doctors in the advertisements as "unethical", the Uttarakhand Medical Council (UKMC) has recently warned the doctors of future action including suspension of their license if they continue such practices.
In this regard, the State Medical Council in the last six months has issued notices to 41 doctors, who allegedly violated the 'Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics Regulations, 2002' of the Council, reports TOI.

Uttarakhand: Doctors declare foetus dead, woman delivers bonny boy hours later in Almora
Doctors of a local government hospital in Almora told a 23-year-old pregnant woman that her baby had died in the womb and wanted to be eliminated by surgical procedure. But, after a few hours, when the woman is in the ambulance on the way to another health facility, she went into labour and with the help of the medics present, gave birth to a healthy boy.
Terming it a "case of negligence" by Chaukhutia Hospital staff, the woman's family members claimed that when she was told to go to Ranikhet for the surgery, her condition began to deteriorate. The woman belongs to a village in Gairsain block of Chamoli district.
