An abandoned bag found at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on Thursday, triggered a bomb scare, prompting an immediate response from dog squads and bomb disposal teams.
The bomb squad found nothing suspicious in the bag. After a thorough examination, they discovered only a bottle of cold drink, a few pieces of paper, and some fruit.
According to an ANI report, meanwhile, a team of the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday reached the residence of the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh, at Chinar Park in Kolkata to carry out a search operation.
