Covid-Like Symptoms Reported in 56% Delhi-NCR Households, Survey Reveals - Video

More than half of households in Delhi-NCR are still dealing with illness, according to a recent Local Circles survey on Covid, flu, and viral fever symptoms. Around 56 per cent of families reported at least one member experiencing issues like fever, cough, or sore throat, though this marks a slight improvement from 69 per cent earlier. The survey, covering cities like Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad, found that 44 per cent households had no illness, while others reported one or more members affected, with some families facing multiple infections at the same time, reports India Today.

Experts say the current wave is mainly driven by Influenza A (H3N2), along with other viruses and seasonal factors like temperature changes and poor air quality, which weaken immunity. While cases appear to be easing, infections remain widespread. Doctors advise continued precautions such as hand hygiene, mask use in crowded places, rest, and timely medical consultation. Vulnerable groups, including the elderly and those with chronic conditions, remain at higher risk, making caution essential despite signs of decline.
