NEET UG 2026 Paper Leak Probe: CBI Arrests Pune Physics Teacher - Video
Overview
The CBI has arrested a Pune-based Physics teacher allegedly involved in leaking NEET UG 2026 examination questions, marking another major breakthrough in the nationwide paper leak investigation. The accused was reportedly engaged by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an expert involved in preparing the Physics paper for the May 3 examination.
According to investigators, she had complete access to the confidential Physics question papers and allegedly shared several questions with co-accused during April 2026, weeks before the examination was conducted. Officials claim that the leaked questions later matched exactly with the actual NEET UG 2026 Physics paper sets, reports Deccan Herald.
With her arrest, the number of accused arrested in the case has risen to 11 across multiple cities including Pune, Latur, Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram and Nashik. Earlier, the CBI had arrested chemistry expert and biology expert, both allegedly linked to the NTA paper-setting process. Investigators claim he conducted special coaching sessions at his Pune residence where students were allegedly dictated questions, answer options and correct responses that later matched the real exam paper. The agency now suspects a coordinated insider network operating within the confidential paper preparation system.
