NMC integrates NExT as prerequisite for PG medical education, releases draft guidelines for comments

Overview
Foreseeing the future of PG medical education, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has now integrated the National Exit Test (NExT) as a prerequisite for PG medical admissions while adding that NEET PG will continue till the first batch of NExT becomes eligible.
This comes as through a recent Public Notice, the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the draft Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER) 2023.
