NMC withdraws public notice seeking affidavit for recognition to medical colleges
Overview
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has withdrawn its previous notice whereby it sought an affidavit from the medical colleges to allow recognition or continuation of recognition of MBBS seats.
Earlier in September, after the declaration of NEET 2022 results, the NMC had allowed the due renewal of permission and recognition or continuation of recognition to all medical colleges based on a sworn affidavit for the academic year 2022-2023 duly signed by the medical colleges' authorities. However, the NMC warned the institutes that surprise inspections would be conducted as per their track record and decisions will be taken according to the assessment reports.
