Two COVID jabs equally protect people in all body mass groups, says Lancet study - Video

According to a new study published in The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology, vaccines have helped in significantly lowering the number of cases of severe coronavirus and hospitalisation and deaths due to the infection among everyone regardless of their body size.

"It is interesting to see slightly less effectiveness of vaccine in underweight people, who may otherwise be low on immunity due to under-nutrition. India has a high number of such underweight people prone to other infections like TB as well," says Dr Anoop Misra, chairman, Fortis C-DOC, reports TOI.
