In a shocking incident, two men were arrested on Saturday for allegedly running an illegal clinic-cum-pharmacy and providing medical treatment to patients without the requisite qualifications near Tirupattur town.
According to health officials, one of the accused, aged 68, had completed a nursing degree, while the other, aged 36, held a diploma in nursing. Despite lacking the qualifications required to practice as doctors, the duo had allegedly been providing medical consultations, prescribing medicines, and treating patients in villages around Tirupattur for several years.
