Use of Renin angiostensin system inhibitors to affect kidney vessels
Several studies report hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, stroke, end-stage renal disease, and death. Deletion of renin or inhibition of the RAS leads to concentric thickening of the intrarenal arteries and arterioles reveals a study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation Insight. This severe disease is resulting in blood flow obstruction, focal ischemia, and fibrosis. Study concluded that renin cells are responsible for vascular disease.
Anxiety in men to be a risk factor for cardiometabolic diseases
Anxiety is a serious concern as its the underlying cause of several cardiac diseases. It can be a normal reaction to stress, but however when prolonged, anxiety is quite dangerous and needs better management. Anxiety has been found to be linked to elevated risk of cardiometabolic disease onset.
The study in the Journal of the American Heart Association mentions theprospective association of 2 anxiety facets, neuroticism (experiencing negative affects) and worry, with by middle adulthood, higher anxiety levels are associated with stable differences in cardiometabolic risk.
Epidural anesthesia during labor linked to faster stomach emptying
Labour is very crucial time in women and anesthesiologists prefer that laboring women have an empty stomach because of the lower risk for aspiration (inhaling) of food in case general anesthesia for cesarean section becomes necessary.
Anesthesiology journal finds "stomach emptying" is substantially slower during labor but somewhat faster in women who receive an epidural for pain control. Results suggest anesthesiologists should remain cautious about permitting solid food during labor, especially when epidural analgesia is not used.
Procalcitonin helps predict severe bacterial infection in children aged 3 months or less
According to recent research, Jun-Sung Park and associates from the Department of Pediatrics, Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Republic of Korea have observed that PCT is useful for predicting SBI in children aged 3 months or less who visit the emergency room with a fever.
Prediction of the bacterial infection and reduce unnecessary treatment is neccessary, the classic classification system is based on white blood cell (WBC) count, urinalysis, and x-ray, and it is modified and applied at each center by incorporating recently studied biomarkers such as c-reactive protein (CRP) or procalcitonin (PCT), however Children and fever are very difficult to manage.

Bone Grafts and Substitutes in Dentistry: an emerging trend
Tooth loss due to accidents or trauma or aging is a serious concern. Tissue engineering hybrid constructions with enhanced bone regeneration ability are emerging areas of development, suggests a study published in the Molecules.
A dental bone graft adds volume and density to your jaw in areas where bone loss has occurred. The bone graft material may be taken from your own body (autogenous), or it may be purchased from a human tissue bank (allograft) or an animal tissue bank (xenograft).
After tooth loss, bone resorption is irreversible, leaving the area without the adequate bone volume for successful implant treatment. Bone grafting is the only solution to reverse dental bone loss and is a well-accepted procedure required in one in every four dental implants.
