In this episode of Know your Journal, Medical Dialogues team interacts with Dr Atul Kulkarni, the Editor In Chief of the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine (IJCCM). The Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine (IJCCM) is on one of the top journals from Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers Pvt. Ltd.
IJCCM is the official journal of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. It is renowned for its rigorous peer review process and for publishing high-quality, impactful research monthly, addressing critical care medicine’s most pressing issues and advancements.
Dr Atul Kulkarni is the Past-President of the Asia Pacific Association of Critical Care Medicine, the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Association of SAARC Critical Care Societies. He also served as the Past Chancellor of the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine and is currently the Professor & Head of the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India.
In this video, Dr. Kulkarni shares his insights on the evolution of the journal, how the journal supports emerging research and innovation in critical care. He further discusses the impact of the journal and how it adapts to the digital era and lastly gives his advice to aspiring editors and researchers, along with his vision for the future

Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. Along with this, she is equally interested in keeping herself up to date about the latest developments in the field of medicine and dentistry which is the driving force for her to be in association with Medical Dialogues. She also has her name attached with many publications; both national and international. She has pursued her BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and later went to enter her dream specialty (MDS) in the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Pt. Dr. Atul P. Kulkarni (MD, FISCCM, PGDHHM, FICCM) is a distinguished expert in critical care medicine, currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine. He is the Professor and Head of the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, India. Dr Kulkarni has held several prestigious positions, including Past-President of the Asia Pacific Association of Critical Care Medicine, Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Association of SAARC Critical Care Societies. He has also served as the Chancellor of the Indian College of Critical Care Medicine.
