National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) is a institution that fosters and utilizes academic excellence as its resource to meet medical and social goals. It was registered as the 'Indian Academy of Medical Sciences' on 21st April, 1961 under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. It was inaugurated at New Delhi on 19th December 1961 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru the first Prime Minister of India.

Dr. Nandita Mohan

BDS, MDS( Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry)

Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. Along with this, she is equally interested in keeping herself up to date about the latest developments in the field of medicine and dentistry which is the driving force for her to be in association with Medical Dialogues. She also has her name attached with many publications; both national and international. She has pursued her BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and later went to enter her dream specialty (MDS) in the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Pt. Dr. S V Madhu

Dr. SV Madhu is the Director-Professor and Head of the Department of Endocrinology at the Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, University College of Medical Sciences & Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. With an M.B.B.S, Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases, M.D in Medicine, and DM in Endocrinology, his expertise centers around Diabetes, Obesity, and Stress-Related Endocrinology.

Dr Umesh Kapil

Dr. Umesh Kapil, former Professor of Gastroenterology, currently serves as the Secretary of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS). Previously, he held the position of Professor of Public Health Nutrition at AIIMS, New Delhi, showcasing expertise in Gastroenterology within the Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit.

Dr Anil Jain

Dr. Anil K Jain, MS, FAMS, FIOA, FRCS (Eng.), earned his M.S. in Orthopaedics in 1984 from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. He served as Senior Resident (1985-88) at Central Institute of Orthopaedics, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Jain joined University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), University of Delhi as a Lecturer in Orthopaedics in 1988, progressing to Reader in 1992 and Professor in 1997. He assumed the role of Principal at UCMS in 2019 until his retirement, and during his tenure, he served as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and as Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences from October 2020 to April 2022 at the University of Delhi.
