Overview
Ectopic pregnancy is defined as an abnormal pregnancy that happens outside of the uterus. It can occur anywhere other than the uterus like the fallopian tube (tubal ectopic pregnancy), cervix, ovary, etc.
Ectopic pregnancy is a life-threatening medical emergency that should be treated as soon as it is diagnosed either with a medical or surgical approach.
