Medical Dialogues team interacts with the Editor in Chief, Dr. Prof. Nirmal Kumar Lohiya and the Associate Editor, Dr. Rita Bakshi.
Dr. Lohiya highlights the main objective of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility. He being a pioneer in reproductive medicine, gives his opinion on the vast increases in patients seeking infertility treatment.
He further explains about the recent advances that will change the face of reproductive medicine as we know it today.
While on the other hand, Dr Bakshi shares her thought on women’s health being vital for individual well-being, family health, and societal progress. She further emphasizes on the impact of COVID-19 on the fertility of the surviving population and lastly gives out her piece of advice for young clinicians, specially women who wish to pursue a career in this field.

Dr. Nandita Mohan
BDS, MDS( Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry)
Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. Along with this, she is equally interested in keeping herself up to date about the latest developments in the field of medicine and dentistry which is the driving force for her to be in association with Medical Dialogues. She also has her name attached with many publications; both national and international. She has pursued her BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and later went to enter her dream specialty (MDS) in the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Pt. Dr Nirmal Kumar Lohiya is a distinguished Professor at the University of Rajasthan, India, with an extensive academic and research background in the field of reproductive biology. He earned his Ph.D. in Reproductive Biology from the same institution in 1975. Throughout his career, Dr. Lohiya has made significant contributions to reproductive health research, particularly in male contraception and fertility regulation. His work has garnered national and international recognition, leading to his election as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc) in 2000, and as a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS) in 2003. Dr. Lohiya has held esteemed positions such as NASI Senior Scientist and Emeritus Medical Scientist, and has served as President of the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF). He has also been actively involved in various scientific advisory committees and editorial boards, including serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Reproductive Healthcare and Medicine. Dr. Lohiya's dedication to education and research continues to inspire advancements in reproductive biology in India.
Dr Rita Bakshi is the founder and chairperson of International Fertility Centre, a leading IVF clinic in India. An MBBS graduate from Lady Hardinge Medical College and MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, she holds over 25 years of experience in reproductive medicine. Renowned for her work in IVF, ICSI, surrogacy, and women’s health, she has helped conceive over 4,000 IVF babies. She has founded multiple IVF centers across India and received numerous awards for her contributions. Dr. Bakshi is also the founder of UPKAAR Surrogacy Welfare Trust and actively engages in national and international fertility forums.
