Overview
Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting network. The lymphatic system includes the lymph nodes (lymph glands), spleen, thymus gland, and bone marrow. Lymphoma can affect all those areas as well as other organs throughout the body.
Broadly Lymphoma is of two types, Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Lymphoma, today has a cure rate of 75%- 85%.
Various treatment regimen are available to cure lymphoma permanently such as ABVD chemotherapy, ICE chemotherapy, radiation therapy, bone marrow transplant, etc. In this video, Hematologist Dr. Meet Kumar, MD, DM ( Hematology) explains the disease and its management
