The author of the study is Dr. Amit Mohan. Having worked at Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai for more than 12 years, Dr. Amit Mohan has a specialty in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He consults at the Global Hospital Institute of Ophthalmology and is in charge of Shri Adinath Fateh Global Eye Hospital in Jalore. His study on children's eye care has been published in more than 50 indexed journals on a national and international scale. The All India College of Ophthalmology awarded him a fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology.

The purpose of this study is to identify the prevalence, frequency of symptoms, and risk factors for digital eye strain (DES) in children enrolled in online courses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Children have digital eye strain, as we discussed in one of our previous videos. The most frequent eye condition linked to extended use of digital devices is known as "digital eye strain". It is characterized by symptoms like headaches, dry eyes, itching, and a feeling of a foreign body in the eye.

Dr. Amit Mohan

Dr. Amit Mohan is an ophthalmologist. He has more than 12 years of experience treating children's eyes, with a specialty in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus from Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai. He oversees Shri Adinath Fateh Global Eye Hospital in Jalore and consults at Global Hospital Institute of Ophthalmology in Rajasthan. More than 50 of his research publications on children's eye care have been published in indexed journals on a national and worldwide level. He has received the fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology from the All India College of Ophthalmology. For his contributions, he has received various academic awards.

Dr. Nandita Mohan

Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. Along with this, she is equally interested in keeping herself up to date about the latest developments in the field of medicine and dentistry which is the driving force for her to be in association with Medical Dialogues. She also has her name attached with many publications; both national and international.
