NEET UG 2026: Check State-Wise MBBS Seats, Cutoff and Medical Colleges - Video

India's medical aspirants can use the National Medical Commission (NMC) MBBS seat matrix for 2026-27 to assess admission prospects across states during NEET UG counselling. The country now offers 1,36,939 MBBS seats, and candidates can compare state-wise medical colleges, seat availability, and previous year's opening and closing ranks before filling their preferences. The data covers government, private, AIIMS, and deemed universities across states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab. Previous year cut-offs can help candidates estimate their chances under All India, state, university, and open seat quotas, while reserved category students can use them as reference points.

Among leading institutions, AIIMS New Delhi remained the most competitive, with admission closing at AIR 47 under the open quota, while IMS BHU closed at AIR 1,165 and AIIMS Bathinda at AIR 1,732. Government colleges in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab generally closed within the top 7,500 ranks under the All India Quota, whereas deemed universities admitted candidates at much higher ranks. Experts advise aspirants to combine seat availability with previous closing ranks while preparing their college preference list for NEET UG Counselling 2026, according to a Jagran Josh report.
