Woman with rare disorder leaves hospital after 5 months - Video

Overview
In a rare case, where a 27-year-old individual persisted through six months of intense pain and depression following a diagnosis of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS).
Doctors said that she was clinically diagnosed with hyper-acute GBS in November last year. She came to the hospital unconscious and couldn't breathe properly. She was put on a ventilator.

Dr (Prof.) P. N. Renjen, DM (Neurology), FRCP(London), FRCP(Glasgow), FRCP(Edin.), FRCP(Ireland), MNAM (India) is a Sr. Consultant Neurologist (Stroke) & Academic Advisor at Institute of Neurosciences, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals New Delhi. Earlier he was the President of Delhi Neurological Association (DNA), EC Member of European Stroke Organization (2015-2018), and Editorial Board member of Cerebrovascular Disease. He has been delivering scientific lectures all over the country and has published more than 100 scientific papers in national and international journals of repute and has also written chapters in books. He is a member of World Stroke Organization, American Academy of Neurology, European Stroke Organization and Life Member of Neurological Society of India, Indian Stroke Association, and Indian Academy of Neurology.
