Metropolis Healthcare ties up with the International Academy of pathology for new programme
Chennai: Metropolis Healthcare Ltd, global chain of pathology labs and diagnostic centersannounces its partnership with the International academy of pathology – Indian Division (IAP-ID) for a Mid-Year Teaching Programme.
Purpose of the Programme: Different pathology labs may use different term sto describe the same information. Cancer Protocol Templates provide guidelines for collecting the essential data elements for complete reporting of malignant tumors and optimal patient care.The pathologist determines the precise type and stage of the cancer and may also work with other members of the team to recommend a treatment strategy that could include observation, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of these approaches. Hence a complete and accurate pathology report is crucial to getting a precise diagnosis and deciding on the best treatment plan for the cancer patient.The programme will entail discussions on‘how standardizing Histopathology Onco Reports would positively impact cancer patient care in India’.
