Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD), including conditions such as acute glomerulonephritis, diabetes-induced chronic kidney disease, and other chronic kidney disorders, are significant contributors to global mortality and disease burden. Notably, kidney diseases rank as the eighth leading cause of mortality, the tenth cause of years of life lost, and the tenth cause of disability-adjusted life years across both sexes and are among the fastest-growing causes in the region. CKD poses a substantial and escalating global health challenge, affecting one in ten individuals worldwide and having profound implications for individuals, families, and communities. The disease markedly increases the risk of cardiovascular complications, diminishes quality of life, and may progress to kidney failure, necessitating life-sustaining kidney replacement therapies such as dialysis or transplantation. Early detection is crucial for saving lives.
