New Delhi: BLK Hospital resident doctor kills self on poor NEET PG score

New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a 28-year doctor allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison after she failed to score good marks in the NEET PG exam. The exam is the main entrance exam for MD/MS courses in the country.

The woman doctor, now identified as Dr Satender Kaur was discovered by her husband on Saturday at lying unconscious on the bathroom floor of her house and frothing at her mouth. She was first rushed to a private hospital, and as her condition kept on deteriorating she was taken to AIIMS. Despite all treatment, she succumbed to death.

Dr Kaur, recently married to a lawyer, was associated with BL Kapoor Hospital in New Delhi as an MBBS doctor. She had recently appeared for the MD entrance examination but did not score well. Her husband informed that after the result she became depressed, kept herself locked up for days and refused to talk to anyone reports TOI.

“She recently applied for Doctor of Medicines but since the results were announced, she was in depression and was not talking to anyone. A week before the whole family went to the village for cultivation and on Friday afternoon the family came back”, Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) informed the Tribune. As per Primarily investigation, Kaur brought pesticides from the village and in midnight she consumed it.

Her body has been sent for post-mortem.

  1. Highly corrupt scams
Where people who study have their marks lowered and Money paying get their marks High . This has been going on since NBE became exam conducting body instead of AIIMS .
These people pay Millions for seats end up without skills and become businessman .
Then to recover the millions paid for scam admission they Overcharge patients .
Sad it took someone to take her life so general people take a news .

  2. And another roll for this is reservation. Here general category people study hard for day and night for hours and hours throughout the day all year round and still are barely able to make it through the cut offs and the the non desrving reserved gets their stream of choice just by attending the exam! Lol, does our country real need this pathetic reservation?
And these people with masters degree end up with a pretty bad career as a doctor so what they do is start teaching coz those who can\’t do teach! Imagine the doctors of next generation being tought by these non desrving reserved people!

  3. Thats y all inteligent ppl go to abroad. Y not ? They dont have recognition in india. Reservatuon spoiling our country.

  4. Yeah it\’s true I had a friend who was from general category extremely talented dint get into stream of choice and I on the other hand got it because am SC we scored almost the same but I had reservation, he was extremely depressed for 2-3 years didn\’t talk to anyone, not even his family we were all afraid now he is fine but he never talks to me. I somewhere feel guilty, Maybe my admission got him more sad!
