BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS Admissions 2020:AYUSH Ministry releases AIQ private seat counselling guidelines, Schedule
New Delhi: The Ministry of AYUSH providing directions for interested candidates for the admissions to Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani and Homeopathy courses for session 2020-21 has recently issued guidelines for State and UT Governments for counselling of all India Quota Private Seats.
The guidelines lay down what steps/norms/rules the government has to follow while conducting the counseling for AIQ private seats for BAMS/BSMS/BUMS /BHMS courses. The guidelines state the following :
- GUIDELINES FOR STATE/UT GOVERNMENTS FOR COUNSELLING OF ALL INDIA QUOTA PRIVATE SEATS:
1. Based on the provisions made in the regulations under IMCC Act, 1970 and HCC Act, 1973, minimum 15% seats of intake capacity in all ASU & H colleges shall be all India quota seats.
2. Ministry has decided that Counseling for All India Quota seats including Government, Government Aided, Deemed Universities, Central Universities and National Institutes for the Under graduate session 2020-21 will be conducted by AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee(AACCC), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
3. Further, Counseling for all India quota seats of Private Institutes (other than Deemed University) will be conducted by counseling authority of respective State/UT Government for academic session 2020-21.
4. State/UT counseling authorities has to provide sufficient time to NEET-2020 qualified aspirants for registration of counseling for all India quota private seats as well as should give wider publicity for registration process.
RULES TO BE FOLLOWED FOR ALL INDIA QUOTA PRIVATE SEATS FOR ADMISSION IN ASU & H UG COURSES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21:
1. Seat under all India quota will be open in nature and there shall not be any requirement for domicile in a particular State/UT or passing of 10+2 in a particular State/UT.
2. State/UT counseling authorities shall conduct 02 Round for all India quota private seats and after 02nd Round, in case of vacancy may convert these seats into the State/UT quota.
3. Other criteria will be remain same as for All India quota seats as mentioned on https://aaccc.gov.in/
4. All counseling authorities are advised to read FAQs available and updated on aforesaid counseling website time to time for updated information regarding eligibility and
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Passing marks for eligibility in admission to ASU & H UG courses should be as per the ASU & H UG regulations and should be followed strictly. Admission without fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be considered as in-valid and seat may be cancelled accordingly. The details of marks required in 12th Standard for different categories are as follows:
i. The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examinationrecognised by the concerned State Government and Education Board with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
ii. Minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of General category.
iii. 40% Marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
iv. In respect of persons with disability candidate specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination are as follows:
a) In Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be 45% in the case of general category. (for PwD candidates only)
b) 40% in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. (for PwD candidates only) 2. For PwD candidates, PwD certificate should be as per the guidelines issued by Central Government and notified by the CCIM/CCH. (Available on counseling website under notices section).
3. In case, if an eligible candidate is having valid 12th standard Marks sheet, however, not having passing certificate of 12th Standard due to non-issuance of same by the concerned authority. Then, if candidate fulfils all other criteria than he/she has to submit Affidavit/Undertaking stating that he/she will submit the passing certificate of 12th Standard as soon as issued by the concerned authority.
Earlier, the Ministry released a notice detailing the counselling schedule for admissions to Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani. & Homoeopathy (ASU &H) Undergraduate courses, has laid down all the important rounds for aspirants. Candidates vying to pursue BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS into government, Govt. Aided, National Institutes or into deemed Central universities and private institutions for the year 2020-21 can check out all the details below:
