CEE Kerala invites applications for PG Ayurveda admissions 2025, register now

Kerala: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala is inviting online applications for admission to Post Graduate Degree Courses in Ayurveda Vachaspathi MD (Ay)/Ayurveda Dhanwanthari MS (AY) in the Government, Aided and Self Financing Ayurveda Colleges of the State.

In this regard, CEE Kerala has issued a notification detailing the Participating Institutes, Eligibility for admission, Academic Qualifications, Mode of selection, Submission of Applications and Application Fee, etc. As per the notification, all candidates, including Service Candidates, seeking admission to the Post Graduate Degree Courses in Ayurveda can apply online till 19 September 2025, 4:00 PM through the official website of CEE Kerala, by submitting the required details for registration.

After completing the registration process, candidates should first enter the details of AIAPGET 2025, followed by other required particulars. The prescribed application fee shall be remitted through online payment. After payment of the application fee, candidates must upload their photograph, signature, and all necessary certificates/documents to complete the application process.

Meanwhile, Service Candidates, including teachers quota, should also submit their applications to the Director, Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Arogyabhavan, MG Road, Thiruvananthapuram, before 4:00 PM on 19 September 2025 by taking a printout of the online application and submitting it along with NOC (No Objection Certificate) and all necessary certificates.

In addition, the Medical Officers (ISM) should submit their applications through their Controlling Officer (The Director, ISM Department) to the Directorate of Ayurveda Medical Education, Arogya Bhavan, MG Road, Thiruvananthapuram, before 4.00 PM on 19 September 2025. However, the service candidates need not send their documents to the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

All the college authorities should approve the list of admitted candidates through the Online Admission Management System (OAMS).

It is to be noted that the defective and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. Candidates will be allowed, neither to include any information in the application form nor to submit any certificates/documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application. No need to send the printout of the application or any documents to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

NATIVITY

The applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin. Non-Keralite candidates are also eligible to apply for admission to PG Ayurveda Degree All India Quota seats and management seats available in the Self-Financing colleges.

AGE

No upper age limit is specified for admission to the course. In the case of Service Quota candidates, the age limit for Teachers Quota candidates should be 50 as on 31.07.2025 and that of Medical Officer Quota candidates should be 45 as on 31.07.2025. But the upper age limit of Medical Officers Quota (ISM) candidates coming under the National Pension Scheme will be 45 as on 31.07.2025.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have passed the BAM /Ayurvedacharya /BAMS from colleges having NCISM recognition and the BAMS Degree of the Universities of Kerala or its equivalent degree recognised by the University of Kerala with 50% of marks for theory and practical separately in each subject. But exemption for minimum marks prescribed for admission for MD (Ay)/MS (Ay) is granted to the students who have passed the BAMS/BAM examination before 1995 from the University of Kerala without 50% of marks for theory and practical.

The cutoff date for completion of an internship towards the determination of eligibility for appearing in AIAPGET 2025 shall be 31.08.2025. The dates indicated by the candidates in regards to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Internship, i.e., starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling. Admission will be given only on the production of an Internship Certificate and a Registration Certificate from the Medical Council constituted in this regard.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

All candidates seeking PG (Ay) courses including Service quota in the State of Kerala for the academic year 2025-26 must have qualified for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for PG (Ay) Courses (AYUSH PGET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of AYUSH and should figure in the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

The selection of candidates for the seats reserved for the Medical Officer of the Department of I.S.M., the Teachers Quota and the candidate sponsored by the Lakshadweep Administration will be made on the basis of the rank obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Ministry of AYUSH, subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions. The minimum eligibility mark in the entrance test (AIAPGET 2025) shall be the 50th percentile in the case of the General/EWS category and that of the SC/ST/SEBC category shall be the 40th percentile. In respect of the Differently Abled Candidates category, the minimum mark shall be at the 45th percentile for the General/ EWS Category and the 40th percentile for the SC/ST/SEBC category.

However, the application fee once remitted will not be refunded.

MODE OF SELECTION

The Selection of the candidates shall be made from the rank list prepared by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, on the basis of the AIAPGET 2025 rank list, subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions as mentioned in the prospectus.

ONLINE OPTIONS INVITED FOR FIRST PHASE ALLOTMENT

For the 1 Phase allotment to be published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, candidates should register online options along with the submission of online application through the tab ‘Option Registration’ available in the Application Page. Candidates who have submitted the application on or before 19 September 2025, 4.00 PM, can register/re-arrange the options by clicking the tab ‘Option Registration’ available in the Application Page. Candidates can register options up to 25 September 2025, 2.00 PM.

A registration fee of Rs 2,000/- will have to be paid at the time of Option Registration. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OEC category are eligible for benefits and those candidates from the Juvenile Home, Nirbhaya Home, and Sreechitra Home will have to remit Rs 1,000/- as an option registration fee. Registration fees can be remitted by way of online payment. The registration fee of those candidates who do not get allotment will be refunded. If a candidate gets allotment and does not join within the stipulated time, the option registration fee will be considered as a penalty and will not be refunded.

Option registration fee for the candidates who quit the seats after taking admission will be considered as a penalty and will not be refunded. The registration fee of those candidates who do not join, vacate or lapse the seats allotted after the date to be notified by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be considered as a penalty. Refund of the option registration fee for the eligible candidates will be made only after the completion of the allotment process, and it will be notified.
