Breaking: NEET PG 2024 qualifying percentile Reduced

New Delhi: For PG medical admissions 2024-25 academic year, the NEET PG 2024 qualifying percentile has further been reduced to the 5th percentile for all categories.
Issuing a notification on the revised minimum qualifying criteria for NEET PG 2024 on its official website, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has stated:-
"In continuation of NBEMS notice dated 06.01.2025 and pursuant to the directions of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India vide its letters No. U. 12021/05/2024-MEC dated 20th February 2025, the minimum qualifying percentile for NEET-PG 2024 have been reduced as follows:
CATEGORY: General/EWS, UR-PwBD, SC/ST/OBC (Including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC)REVISED MINIMUM QUALIFYING CRITERIA FOR NEET-PG 2024: 5th Percentile"
NEET-PG 2024 was conducted on 11th August 2024 in two shifts for admission to MD/ MS/ DNB/ DrNB (Direct 6 years)/ NBEMS Diploma Courses of 2024-25 admission session. The result of NEET-PG 2024 was declared on 23rd August 2024.
Candidature is purely provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed in the NEET-PG 2024 Information Bulletin, the NBE notification read.
It may be noted that there is no change in the NEET-PG 2024 Rank and percentile score as published on 23.08.2024, the notice added.
In January this year, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) lowered the cut-off for National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 admissions making General/EWS candidates securing 15 percentile and above and SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates securing 10 percentile and above eligible to participate in the counselling process.
