CENTAC Invites Applications for PG Medical Admissions, View Fee Structure here

Puducherry: Inviting online applications for admission to the Post Graduate medical courses, the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has recently released the fee structure for the PG medical and dental courses as well.

The revised fee structure for Post Graduate Medical and Dental Courses for the year 2021-22 has been decided by the Fee Committee under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Justice N. Authinathan, Judge (Retd.) Hon'ble High Coun of Madras. It follows the fee structure of past 2 academic years.

As per the new structure, a student pursuing PG medical Clinical education in government quota seats in Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Manakula Vinayagar College & Hospital, Puducherry, and Sri Venkateshwara Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry will have to pay a total amount of Rs 7,59,000, whereas the fees for the Management quota seats is Rs 22,77,000.

For the students of PG Medical Non-Clinical degree, the fees in Government quota seats is Rs 6,22,000, whereas the management quota students will have to pay Rs 12,44,000 as their course fee.

On the other hand, the fees for pursuing PG Dental Clinical education in Government Quota seats in Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences has been fixed at Rs 6,22,000 whereas those pursuing their PG dental clinical studies in the management quota seats, will have to pay Rs 14,00,000.

For the PG Dental Para Clinical students, the fees has been fixed at Rs 5,53,000 in Government quota seats, whereas in management quota seats, the students will have to pay Rs 7,19,000.

The Co-ordinator (Admission) of CENTAC noted that the online applications for admission to PG Medical courses under Government / All India (Management Quota seats) are opened on 02.10.2021. The last date for online submission of applications is 18.10.2021, 6 pm. For more details, candidates can visit the website www.centacpuducherry.in.

"Accordingly, the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry is pleased to approve the above-revised fee structure for admission of students in Post Graduate Medical and Dental courses in unaided Private Professional educational institutions functioning in this Union Territory of Puducherry for the years 2019 - 2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-22," mentioned the notification issued by Chief Secretariat (Health).

As per the notification, the Fees structure is subject to the following conditions:

a.The revised fee structure prescribed above shall be applicable for the three Academic Years from 2019- 2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. and the same fee alone should be paid by the students for the three academic years,

b. This revised fee is an all-inclusive annual fee including various fees like admission fee, Tuition fee, Special fee, Laboratory / Computer / Maintenance, and Amenities fee. Extracurricular activities fee and the other recurring expenditure.

C. In addition to the above-revised fee, the institutions arc permitted to collect an amount of Rs.50,000/- per student as a development fee.

d. The above fee does not include Hostel, Transport, and Mess charges.

e. The Educational Institutions are not entitled to collect any kind of fees under any guise except the fees fixed by the Committee. Any deviation will amount to violation of the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and stringent action will be taken against the management by the appropriate authorities viz. Government of Puducherry, Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India and the Pondicherry University such as withdrawal of approval of MCI/DCI, cancellation of the Essentiality Certificate issued by the Government of Puducherry, disaffiliation by the concerned University and imposition of hefty fine as penalty.
