Compulsory rural service counselling: RGUHS says Mobile Numbers, Email IDs mandatory for Registration
Bengaluru- The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has issued a circular regarding the Karnataka Compulsory service by candidates who completed Medical courses.
Through the circular, RGUS has informed that as per the Government of Karnataka Gazette, RGUHS has submitted the merit list of RGUHS candidates & deemed /private universities in the state of Karnataka for all the Undergraduate MBBS, Postgraduate Medical Degree / Diploma & Superspeciality courses to the office of Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare Services, Bond Enforcement Cell, Arogya Soudha, Bengaluru to enable counselling process for compulsory rural service.
Therefore, it is been directed by the Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare Services, Arogya Soudha, Bond Enforcement Cell that mobile numbers and email IDs are mandatory for the registration process without which the candidate cannot register.
Along with this, the Director, Dean and Principals of all the Medical colleges and Hospitals having MBBS, PG Medical Degrees and Diploma & Superspeciality courses are directed to update the student's mobile numbers and email IDs in the examination management system (EMS) and ensure that the details are correct before entering the same into the EMS software.
Meanwhile, Medical Dialogues has reported that after the complaints from students of the 2019-20 batch, RGUHS has decided to allow MBBS students enrolled before 2019-20 to choose the new scheme of evaluation with written consent.
Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, a premier Health Science University in India, was established on 1st June 1996 in Bangalore by the Govt. of Karnataka through its enactment of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka Act 1994 to encompass all the existing health science colleges and institutions which were earlier affiliated to the conventional universities in Karnataka with a purpose of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training, and research in modern and Indians systems of medicine.
