Delhi HC allows FMGE aspirant to use court order, NTA affidavit as NEET 2019 scorecard

New Delhi: Granting relief to a Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), the Delhi High Court has directed the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to treat a court order, along with an affidavit filed by the National Testing Agency (NTA), as the NEET UG 2019 scorecard to appear in the screening test.
This direction was issued by the HC bench comprising Justice Sachin Datta, while considering a plea by an OBC (NCL) aspirant, who sought urgent relief from the court after being unable to produce her physical NEET-UG 2019 scorecard while applying for the FMGE December 2025 session.
Filing the plea, the petitioner prayed that the court order, together with the NTA affidavit, be treated as her NEET-UG 2019 scorecard, dispensing with the requirement of furnishing the physical scorecard for the FMGE December 2025 session and future FMGE examinations.
Further, the petitioner also sought a direction on the NBEMS for processing the petitioner's FMGE application and issue the admit card based on the order of the court.

Meanwhile, during the case proceedings, in an affidavit dated December 26, 2025, NTA acknowledged and confirmed that the petitioner had secured 472 marks, obtained a rank of 67,390, and was declared 'qualified' in the NEET-UG 2019 examination.
"The aforesaid paragraph of the affidavit discloses the total marks obtained, the corresponding percentile, as well as the NEET-UG 2019 rank of the petitioner," the HC bench noted.
The petitioner also referred to earlier orders passed by the coordinate benches back in December 2025, where the court had granted identical reliefs to similarly placed NEET-UG 2019 aspirants.
Considering the NTA affidavit and taking note of the precedents, the HC bench on December 31, 2025, directed that the NTA affidavit and the present order be treated as the petitioner's NEET-UG 2019 scorecard for all purposes.
It ordered, "Having considered the aforesaid orders passed by the Co-ordinate Benches of this Court, as well as paragraph 17 of the counter affidavit filed by respondent no. 1, respondent no. 3 (NBEMS) is directed to treat the affidavit filed by the National Testing Agency, together with the present order, as the NEET-UG 2019 scorecard of the petitioner for all relevant purposes."
With this direction, the High Court bench disposed of the application along with the plea and cancelled the hearing scheduled for January 23 in the matter.
