DHS Manipur asks 3 states to nominate candidates for MDS seats, Details
Manipur: The Directorate of Health Services (DHS Manipur) has issued a notification related to the seat allocation Dental PG course.
As per the existing procedure of allotment of PG seats, the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Manipur have been allotted one seat each against their specialities for the session 2022-23.
The following is the detail of the seat allocations -
1. Arunachal Pradesh - Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics
2. Meghalaya - Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
3. Manipur - Prosthodontics & Crown and Bridge
The principal of the dental colleges has been asked to nominate 1 candidate. The nomination has to be sent by the end of June 2022 to complete the admission process as per the schedule made by the Government of India.
While nominating candidates the following criteria have to be kept in mind –
1. Candidate should be the domicile of the concerned State.
2. Candidate should be qualified in the NEET-MDS-2022.
Suppose the 1st preferred candidate refuses to join the course; the seat must be surrendered in writing. In that case, the officer of the seats will go to the next waiting list candidate of that State. Leaving the course in between by the nominee is a great loss to institution and respective Government.
The Dental PG course admission is based on the NEET MDS score. The counselling is conducted by the Directorate of Health Services Government of Manipur. For more details and future updates colleges can refer to http://manipurhealthdirectorate.mn.gov.in/.
The Directorate of Health Services is fully committed to the total health care of its people. The aim of the department is to provide the optimum health needs of the people in general and particularly to those living in rural and tribal areas of the State. The department plans, implements, supervises and monitors preventive, pro-motive and curative services in the State.
