Chennai: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tamil Nadu has released the tentative schedule of second phase of counselling for MDS course in government dental colleges and government seats in self financing dental colleges for the session 2021-22. The schedule has been released for both service and non service candidates.

As per the notice, the registration process had commenced from 25th October since 6:00 P.M. till 10:00 P.M. All the concerned candidates can view the schedule as mentioned below:

The instructions for the candidates are as follows:

1. All candidates have to register to participate in this counselling.

2. Fresh choice filling and locking should be done by the candidates.

3.Candidates who wish to retain their seats need not participate in this counselling.

4. Candidates participating by ONLINE COUNSELLING for MDS course will have to remit a non-refundable amount of Rs. 1000/- as processing fee through online by using a Debit Card /Net Banking or Credit Card. The candidates who have already paid processing fee need not pay again.

5. Candidates who are not participated in 1st phase counselling can also participate in this counselling. They have to pay a non-refundable amount of Rs.1000/- through online as processing fee by using Debit card/ Net Banking or credit card.

6. Candidates should be vigilant while choice filling.

7. Vacancy position for the Courses will be available on official websites.

8. Selection of candidates to MDS course shall be made by the ONLINE COUNSELLING on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation/200 Point Roster method whichever is applicable.

9.Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned Dental College that he / she is liable for forfeiture of selection / admission if suppression of facts misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

10. Candidates should pay the tuition fee and then download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Dental Colleges on or before the date and time stipulated during the first phase of ONLINE COUNSELING.

11.Re-allotted candidates need not pay the tuition fee again. For Reported candidates in 1st round of counselling Those who are willing for Re-allotment, they have to select Option 2. Then their allotted seat (allotted in 1st round of counselling) will be open for Choice filling in 2nd round of counselling. For Example,

a) Candidate "A" (Those who select the option 2) hold the MDS Orthodondics in Tamil Nadu Dental College, Chennai, the seat will be available for choice filling for others. If "A" candidate does not get seat in re-allotment, that MDS Orthodondics in Tamil Nadu Dental College, Chennai, will be treated as "Retained".

b) If "A" candidate gets other MDS seat in Re-allotment, then the MDS seat allotted in 1st phase of counselling will be allotted to other candidates.

c) Re-allotted candidates must get relieved from earlier institution and Join in 2nd phase of allotted college.

For not reported candidates in 1st round of counselling:

1. His/her seat (which was allotted in 1st round of counselling) treated as vacant.

2. He/she cannot claim that seat (which was allotted in 1st round of counselling.

3. The candidates should produce the following original certificates in person at the time of joining in their selected Dental Colleges along with the scanned copy of original certificates to the concerned Dental Colleges.

a) NEET MDS 2021-Score Card.

b) NEET MDS 2021 Admit Card.

c) BDS Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate.

d) CRRI Completion Certificate.

e) Permanent Dental Registration Certificate issued by the Dental Council of India /State Dental Council or provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Dental Council of India/State Dental Council.

f) Community Certificate (if applicable)

g) TNPSC/MRB (through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order for service candidates.

h) Nativity Certificate (if applicable) with supportive documents as mentioned in clause 2(b).

i) Recent Regional Medical Board Certificate for Person with Disabilities.

j) Eligibility Certificate, if applicable.

k) Post Card size color photograph (4"x6") the same photo that has been uploaded in NEET MDS 2021.

4. Candidates are instructed to produce the above mentioned original Certificates/ Documents at the time of joining in the Dental College for certificate verification.

5. Candidates while downloading their provisional allotment order should pay the non-refundable Tuition Fee via Debit Card /Net Banking or Credit Card.

6.Candidates who have retained their seats in 1st phase of counselling and the candidates who have joined in 2nd round of counselling are not allowed to resign their seats. If they are resigning, as per the prospectus they have to pay the penalty amount as mentioned in clause 22(c) and they are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years for MDS course as mentioned in clause 6(b).
