NEET MDS 2025 Counselling: UP DGME To Begin Stray Vacancy Round, Check Schedule, Guidelines

Uttar Pradesh- The Director General, Medical Education and Training (UPDGME) is soon going to begin the UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) Stray Vacancy Round of Online Counselling for the academic year 2025. In this regard, UPDGME has released the Time Schedule of the Stray Vacancy Round of Online Counselling for UP NEET MDS 2025.

As per the schedule, the UP NEET MDS Stray Vacancy Round Counselling, the online registration and depositing registration feе and security Fee process will start from 22nd August 2025. Below is the complete schedule of the Stray Vacancy Round of online counselling admission of state quota seats of MDS course in Government/Private Dental Colleges/Universities of Uttar Pradesh is as follows-

Meanwhile, to participate in the stray vacancy round, it is mandatory for all eligible candidates to get fresh registration done by paying Rs. 3000/- as an online registration fee separately.

Essential guidelines regarding online counselling of the stray vacancy round under UP NEET MDS-2025

1 Only those candidates will be eligible for the stray vacancy round who have not been allotted any seat in any round of counselling of UP NEET MDS 2025.

2 Candidates admitted through any round of All India Counselling of NEET MDS 2025 / Counselling of other states will not be eligible for the stray vacancy round.

3 To participate in the stray vacancy round, all eligible candidates will have to make fresh registration by paying Rs. 3000/- as registration fee separately.

4 Candidates who have not participated in counselling in previous rounds and are participating in counselling for the first time in the stray vacancy round will have to deposit the security amount as per the rules. (Rs. 1,00,000/- for MDS course seats in private sector dental colleges and Rs. 30,000/- for seats in government sector dental colleges)

5 Candidates registered and unallocated in counselling of 1st/2nd/3rd round, who have already deposited the security amount, will not be required to deposit the security amount again to participate in counselling of the stray vacancy round.

6 The candidate should fill out the online choice based on his/her preference for allotment of seats in government/private sector dental colleges. The candidate should fill in the choice of only those colleges in which he/she is interested in taking admission. There is no limit for online choice filling.

7 It is mandatory to lock the choices after online choice filling. Otherwise, the candidate will be automatically excluded from the seat allocation process. The entire responsibility for this will be on the candidate himself.

8 All the candidates allotted through the stray vacancy round will have to produce all original educational / reservation certificates at the allotted dental college / nodal centre at the time of admission; otherwise, the admission of the candidate will not be considered.

9 If any candidate does not take admission after allotment from the stray vacancy round, such candidates will forfeit their earnest money deposit and will be barred from UP NEET MDS Counselling 2026-27.

10 Candidates allotted to private sector dental colleges must deposit the CTS bank draft of the tuition fee determined by the Government, issued in favour of Director General Medical Education & Training, U.P., Lucknow (Director General Medical Education & Training UP payable at Lucknow), at the concerned nodal centre; otherwise, the admission will be automatically cancelled.

11 It is mandatory for the allotted candidates to undergo medical examination by the Medical Board constituted at Dental College/Nodal Centre.

12 Candidates allotted through the stray vacancy round will be required to report to the concerned dental college after taking admission at the nodal centre.

13. The stray vacancy round counselling process will be conducted only under the provisions contained in the government order dated 06 June 2025 and the brochure issued regarding policy formulation for UP NEET PG 2025. Therefore, before participating in the counselling process, go through the government order and the brochure yourself.
