Uttar Pradesh- Uttar Pradesh Director General, Medical Education and Training (UPDGME) has released certain instructions regarding choice filling and admission process for the 1st round of online counselling of UP National Eligibility-Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024.

Below are the important information/instructions regarding the choice filling and admission process for the 1st round of online counselling of UP NEET MDS 2024-

1 Candidates will fill out online choices based on their preferences for admission to seats in government/private sector dental colleges. They should fill choices only for those colleges to which they are interested in taking admission. However, there is no limit on filling online choices.

2 After filling the online options, it is mandatory to lock the options. Otherwise, the candidate will automatically be out of the seat allocation process. The candidate himself will be responsible for this.

3 The admission process of candidates allotted to government sector medical colleges will be completed in the respective college.

4 The admission process of candidates allotted to private-sector dental colleges will be completed at the nodal centre set by the government. The list of nodal centres soon be displayed separately on the departmental website.

5 It is mandatory for the candidates allotted for admission to appear in person at the Government Dental College/ concerned Nodal Centre. Further, it is also mandatory for the allotted candidates to produce all their educational/reservation-related and other certificates in original at the time of admission to the allotted Government Dental College/concerned institute.

7 In addition, it is mandatory for the allotted candidates to undergo a medical examination by the Medical Board constituted at the Dental College/Nodal Centre.

6 CTS Bank Draft of Government prescribed tuition fee for candidates allotted to private sector dental colleges in favour of Director General Medical Education & Training Uttar Pradesh payable at Lucknow. The tuition fees prescribed by the Government and the fee structure of minority institutions are available on the departmental website.

7 Private sector dental colleges are free to charge less than the tuition fees prescribed by the Government, but in case of charging less than the prescribed tuition fees, it will be mandatory for the representative of the dental college to submit an undertaking for the concerned candidate to the concerned nodal officer.

For Other Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), certificates issued after April 1, 2024, will be valid. Disability certificates of Divyang persons will be issued from centres designated by the Government of India and will be valid only in the prescribed format.

Moreover, all certificates related to reservation (OBC, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Economically Weaker Section) will be valid only if issued by the competent authority of Uttar Pradesh in the format prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. A reservation certificate in the format of the certificate to be submitted for posts under the Government of India will not be valid.

Meanwhile, UP NEET MDS counselling 2024 registration was started on July 10, 2024, at 5:00 PM and continued till July 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Below is the schedule for UP NEET MDS counselling 2024.
