Puducherry: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has released the admission details for the DM, MCh entrance exam. All the candidates who are vying to get DM, MCh admissions at JIPMER, can view the details of the prospectus issued by the institute as mentioned below:

Note:- The candidates are advised to read the Prospectus before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank.

Request for rectification of any error committed in the application by the candidate and refund of fees will not be considered under any circumstances.
Candidate should visit the JIPMER website periodically ( www.jipmer.edu.in ) for any other notification.

Eligibility criteria for admission

a. Candidates should be Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizens of India. (OCI registered under section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955, should submit proof of Registrations OCI under section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 at the time of admission failing which admission with stand cancelled)
b. Candidates should have passed M.D. / M.S. / DNB Degree from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.
c. Must be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council.

MD/DNB in Anesthesiology/ General Medicine / Pulmonary

Medicine Degree recognized by the Medical council of India.

Cardiac Anaesthesia Neuro Anaesthesia

MD/DNB (Anesthesiology) Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Cardiology

M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics/ Pulmonary Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Clinical Pharmacology

M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pharmacology/ Pediatrics recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Clinical Immunology Endocrinology

Nephrology Neurology

M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University by the Medical Council of India.

Medical Oncology

M.D. / DNB Degree in Medicine / Pediatrics /Radiotherapy

recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Neonatology

Paediatric Critical care

M.D. / DNB Degree in Pediatrics recognized by the Medical

Council of India.

Medical Gastroenterology

M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics recognized

by the Medical Council of India.

Neuroimaging and Interventions

M.D/DNB Degree in Radiodiagnosis recognized by the Medical

How to apply?
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: THROUGH ONLINE MODE ONLY.
ONLINE APPLICATION USER INTERFACE: ANNEXURE – II
1) Candidates seeking admission to entrance examination are required to apply on-line mode only. (Any other mode of application will not be accepted.)
2) FULL NAME entered by the candidate must match with both his/her Govt. Photo ID Card (Aadhar Card / Pan Card / Identity Card / Driver's License etc.) and MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate. (Spelling and order must be same – if it is not same, the candidate is advised to get it changed in the above-mentioned document/documents)
3) Log on to link in the Home page - www.jipmer.edu.in and navigate to the link "Apply on-line D.M./M.Ch. admission – January 2021".
4) Read the prospectus and instruction carefully.
5) The flow chart for filling application on-line given as Appendix (ANNEXURE – II) in the Prospectus.
6) The candidate should acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling up the application on-line.
7) Candidates need NOT send hard copy of the application to the Institute.

Entrance examination
 Entrance Examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) [Online] only.
 The examination shall be held on Sunday, 06-12-2020.
 The duration of the examination shall be 1½ hours (One hour and Thirty minutes).
 The Online (CBT) Entrance Examination will be conducted as detailed below: DM/M.Ch. Course: From 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM
 No candidate will be permitted to appear in the examination unless he/she holds a valid "Hall Ticket" issued by the Institute and an ID proof of their identification.
