DMER Haryana issues notice on delay in disbursal of Post-Matric Scholarship for MBBS, BDS, Nursing, health courses students, details
Haryana: The Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER Haryana) has notified about non-receiving the Post Matric Scholarship for the academic session 2018-19 onwards.
As per the notice, the Hon’ble Chairman, National Commission for scheduled castes, New Delhi, has observed a delay in disbursal of the Post Matric Scholarship to the beneficiaries/students under the ambit of the Medical Education and Research Department in the state. Hence the students, especially from private institutes, are sometimes not allowed/debarred to fill out the examination forms. Sometimes, the institution withholds their degrees/original certificates even after passing out.
The Hon’ble Commission has directed that if a student has applied for Post Matric Scholarship. There is a delay in disbursement of the same; the institution will not prevent/ debar any student from appearing in the examinations/ declaration of result/internship nor retain the degree/original certificates of such student and charge any fees/funds.
DMER has asked all the institutions under the ambit of the Medical Education and Research, Haryana is directed to follow the above instructions in letter and spirit.
The Department of Medical Education and Research is contributing to society by providing tertiary level health care services and developing huge human resources in the form of doctors and paramedics; in the future, going to strengthen the health care services in the state, country and worldwide. The main purpose is to develop healthcare services and an atmosphere of research for the upcoming medical student.
