FMGE June 2023 Results Out, More than 87 percent Candidates Fail the test
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has declared the results for the June 2023 cycle of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examinations (FMGE) and shockingly more than 87% of the candidates have failed the test.
NBEMS has released the result for altogether 24269 candidates who registered for the examinations. However, among them, altogether 495 candidates were absent from the examination and the results of 116 candidates have been withheld by the natboard.
Only a very few candidates i.e. altogether 2474 medical graduates from abroad have cleared the FMGE test, which is mandatory to be allowed to practice in India. Therefore, only 10% of the total candidates have cleared the examination and they will be allowed to apply for the mandatory internship in India.
However, what has shocked everyone is that a huge number of 21,180 candidates out of the total 24269 candidates have failed the exam, therefore, resulting in the failure of more than 87% of the total candidates.
The National Board of Examinations, which conducts the FMGE test, declared the results today and issuing a notice in this regard, NBE mentioned, "Result of Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2023 session held on 30th July, 2023 has been declared and can be seen at NBEMS websites https://natboard.edu.in/ and https://nbe.edu.in."
"Individual scorecard of the candidates who appeared in FMGE-June 2023 session can be downloaded from the website https://nbe.edu.in/ on/after 31st August, 2023," the notice further mentioned.
Clarifying about the candidates whose results have been withheld, NBE mentioned, "Results of the candidates whose face ID is under verification, court matters and the candidates whose security clearances are awaited have been kept “WITHHELD”."
The Board clarified that the schedule for IN-PERSON distribution of FMGE-June 2023 session Pass Certificates shall be notified separately. It further added in the notice, "For any query related to FMGE-June 2023 session, please contact NBEMS at 011-45593000 or write to NBEMS at its communication web portal at https://exam.natboard.edu.in/communication.php?page=main"
