FMGE: NMC reopens eligibility certificate application window till October 7

New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given candidates seeking an Eligibility Certificate from the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) another opportunity to submit their applications, as they could not do so by the earlier deadline.
According to the public notice issued by the NMC, the online application window will reopen today, i.e., October 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM and until October 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Candidates will be able to submit their applications through the NMC’s official online portal.
The decision follows representations received by the Registration, EMRB from candidates who said they were unable to submit their applications within the previously announced period due to certain issues.
APPLICATION SCHEDULE
S.NO | PROCESS | TIMELINE |
1 | Online submission of application begins | October 1, 2026, 10:00 AM onwards |
2 | Last date for submission of application | October 7, 2026, till 6:00 PM |
The Commission noted that an earlier public notice had allowed eligible candidates to apply for the Eligibility Certificate up to September 30, 2026. However, after receiving requests from applicants who missed the deadline, the EMRB decided to provide an additional opportunity, keeping their career prospects in view.
The EMRB has made it clear that incomplete applications will not be processed and will be summarily rejected. After the deadline, the portal for submission of applications will be closed.
Candidates have also been advised not to wait until the last date and to submit their applications as early as possible.
The Commission pointed out that issuance of an Eligibility Certificate involves multiple checks to determine eligibility in accordance with the applicable regulations. Applicants have therefore been asked to fill in the application form carefully and completely to avoid unnecessary movement of applications back and forth for correction of deficiencies.
Further, candidates have been advised to regularly monitor their registered email IDs and the online portal for any updates regarding their applications.
The extended application facility was provided to candidates who were unable to apply earlier and all concerned applicants are asked to take note of the revised schedule and instructions.
