Gurugram University announces Advanced Certificate Course in Clinical Research in collaboration with Artemis Hospital
Gurugram- In a significant step towards providing advanced education in Clinical Research to students, Gurugram University has decided to offer an Advanced Certificate Course in Clinical Research in collaboration with Artemis Hospital. This course will equip students with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills in clinical research that are essential for a successful career in this field.
The collaboration between Gurugram University and Artemis Hospital shows the growing importance of clinical research in the healthcare industry. Along with this, the collaboration also ensures that students are provided with great opportunities such as receiving guidance from highly qualified medical experts throughout the course. To facilitate the organisation of collaborative conferences, workshops and seminars to enhance the knowledge and expertise of students in clinical research.
Gurugram University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dinesh Kumar announced that the university will set up an offsite campus within the campus of Artemis Hospital to enable students to enroll in the Advanced Certificate Course in Clinical Research starting from the academic session 2024-25. On this, under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Professor Dinesh Kumar, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has also been signed by Professor Subhash Kundu, Dean of Academic Affairs of Gurugram University and Vivek Singh, Legal Head of Artemis Hospital. Many eminent faculty members including Professor Vijay Mehta, Professor Rafiq, Professor Pratap Yadav, Virendra Singh and Dr Garima Srivastava were present during the signing of the MoU, reports TOI.
While emphasising the importance of the Advanced Certificate Course the Vice-Chancellor told TOI, that “The engaging learning structure, which incorporates practical activities and projects, will help students gain real-world experience and develop a deeper understanding of clinical research. The ultimate goal of both institutes is to expand their collaboration in the future, encompassing areas such as medical physics, PhD programs, faculty exchanges, and clinical research, all for the benefit of the students”.
Additionally, with the offsite campus within the Artemis Hospital campus, students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment as well as the opportunity to interact with medical professionals and researchers. This exposure will help students gain a deep understanding of the practical aspects of clinical research and develop the skills necessary to excel in their future careers.
