ICMR Invites Applications for JRF Fellowship leading to a PhD, Check out Details
New Delhi: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has invited applications for the award of the JRF fellowship leading to a Ph.D.
As per the notices issued, there are 2 areas of research one regarding the impact of hypoxia on the placenta and another regarding neonate development and the toxic role of lead (Pb2+) in the progression of Alzheimer's Disease and dysregulation of mitochondria function - in vitro mechanisms.
Candidates can apply for the JRF position leading to a Ph.D. at the ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad. The candidates may download the application form from www.nin.res.in and fill in their handwriting. They will have to send to the Principal Investigator, Dr.Gargi Meur, by email (gargimeur@gmail.com) along with the soft copies of certificates of educational qualifications and JRF certificate in PDF format.
Till 25th May 2022, the candidates can send their applications. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview/discussion with the Principal Investigator/Academic Council of NIN.
Education qualification required -
1st Class M.Sc.in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Nutrition/M.Sc Applied Nutrition/Home Science (from a recognized University) qualified with ICMR/CSIR/UGC/ DBT-NET JRF exam with JRF FELLOWSHIP only. Candidates qualified for NET for project JRF or lectureships are not eligible to apply.
ICMR has notified that for both the research areas, the age has to be below 28 years as of the date of notification. As per ICMR / CSIR / DBT / UGC rules, the stipend will be given.
The candidates should bring all originals certificates of educational qualifications, ICMR/CSIR/DBT/ -NET JRF-fellowship qualified letter, Community Certificate, and a set of photocopies of the same duly self-attested and latest passport size photo and complete bio-data while attending the personal discussion/interview. No TA/DA will be paid for this purpose.
ICMR/CSIR/ DBT fellowship rules apply to the above JRF positions. The selected candidate will have no right to claim regular employment at this Institute.
