MBBS, BDS fees yet to be fixed for Maharashtra Private Medical Colleges
Mumbai: The fees for admission into the MBBS and BDS course in private colleges in Maharashtra have not been fixed yet for the current academic session even though the choice filling process would begin from Friday.
A few colleges have published the interim fees on their portals whereas a few others are planning to continue with the last years' fees.

According to an official associated with Fee Regulatory Authority (FRA), there are delays in the submission of proposals due to the pandemic and lockdown, reports TOI.
A private college official said that they might continue with last year's fees as the fees for the present academic year has not been fixed yet. The official added that the fee notices would be put up within a day or two for the students to choose.
Generally, the tuition fees of the private institute enables the student to choose their future college option when they are unable to clear the government exam.
An interim fees structure for 2021-2022 has been published by the Kashibai Navale Medical College, Pune, in their portal. The tuition fees for the open category would be Rs 13.6 lakh, however the final fee would be based on the decision of the Fee Regulating Authority.
NKP Salve and Ulhas Patil Medical College have published their fees as Rs 10. 5 lakh and Rs 6.6 lakh respectively. Similarly, KJ Somaiya, Terna and Vendantaa Institute of Medical Sciences in Mumbai havent yet published their results.
A parent representative told TOI that it would be good if the colleges are planning to continue with last year's fees. The representative said, "But colleges should put out notices stating that the fees may change if the FRA approval comes later. Students will currently fill their choices based on the fees mentioned on their portals, so there should not be any surprises later."
