MD, MS 2020 at PGIMER: Last date for applications extended
Chandigarh: Through a recent notice, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has informed about the extension of the last date of filling online application form for MD/MS examination for the session July-2020.
Online applications had been invited from eligible candidates for admission to MD/MS course of PGIMER, Chandigarh for July, 2020 session. The total number of seats has increased to 295 Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats in its residency-cum-training program of three years.
Now, considering the ongoing coronavirus epidemic and subsequent lockdown, the institute has extended the last date for filling application form.
The notice clearly states:
Due to outbreak of COVID-19, the last date of filling online application form for MD/MS examination for the session July-2020 has been further extended up to 06.05.2020 instead of 26.04.2020. For further updates, keep visiting the site regularly.

2. *As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities Act 2016, five percent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis. The disability certificate of candidates should be issued by the authorized Medical Board of the State Govt./Govt. of India or any other Competent authority authorized in this regard by the state/Government of India.
3. *In the case of Rural Area candidates, five percent seats shall be allotted on a horizontal basis.
4. Sponsored/Foreign National Seats will not be converted against any other category.
