182 MBBS, BDS seats remain unallotted, WBMCC extends stray vacancy round, details

Kolkata: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Medical Education West Bengal and State Medical Counseling Committee (WBMCC) has extended the College Level Stray Vacancy_Round 2022 for MBBS and BDS admissions.

As many seats are still remaining vacant after completion of stray round of WB UG Medical Dental 2022 counseling, the competent authority has decided to conduct an extended stray round for WB UG Medical Dental 2022 counseling, the notice said.

In an attempt to fill Medical and Dental seats, opening of Registration, Fee payment, Documents Verification ( for eligible candidate who has not done this before as per requirement of counseling process as applicable), are hereby allowed to do so, as per below mentioned Schedule in order to be eligible for that Extended Stray Round.

Needless to say that eligible list as published for earlier stray round shall change accordingly.

According to the seat matrix, 182 MBBS and BDS seats remain unalloted.

Admission for Extended Stray Round*

28.12.2022

Among such published list of successfully verified candidates, the willing and eligible candidates may attend any one single college of his/her choice personally physically with all relevant original documents as required along with one set self attested photo copy and requisite college fee and bond/bank guarantee (as applicable) within the reporting time The candidate may contact the concerned college authority regarding this or related information beforehand.

The reporting time is from 10 am till 12 noon on 28-12-2022 at a particular college chosen by the eligible candidate. The college authorities are required to keep attendance as per rank of the eligible reported candidate coming with original documents and fees.

The allotment cum admission shall start from 12 noon and continue till 4 pm as per server time on 28-12-2022 after which any seat conversion if required due to non availability of eligible willing candidate shall take place till 6 pm as per server time.

The seat conversion shall be allowed after 4 pm on 28-12-2022 as per request received via official email from the concerned college authority (as applicable) from ST to SC and vice versa (one iteration); OBCA to OBCB and vice versa (one iteration); also EWS to UR (one iteration); NRI to management quota (one iteration) , if such seats are available in the published seat matrix of Extended Stray Round.

The counseling shall be conducted at first for UR seats and then for caste seats and then finally for MO seats as per available vacancy. For UR seats, all candidates as per combined rank are allowed to participate provided they have obtained the cutoff of UR in NEET UG 2022.

If NRI seats are vacant the counseling can be done in parallel as the candidate profile is separate. If no such candidate, then college authorities can request the counseling authority to convert such seat to Management quota after 4 pm of 28-12-2022 for allotment.

There are two inter-related processes: allotment followed by admission both to be done by college authorities as per rank in NIC Kolkata server and both copy of allotment letter and admission letter generated from the server shall be handed over to the concerned candidate.

This is in the interest of public service and all concerned are hereby informed accordingly. The admitted candidate details shall be uploaded by the college authority in NMC /DCI server (as the case may be for Medical and Dental respectively) without fail by midnight of 28-12-02.

All the Private Medical and Private Dental Colleges in West Bengal namely KPC Medical College Kolkata; IQ City Medical College Durgapur; ICARE Haldia; JIM S Budge Budge; GIMSH Durgapur; SRIMS and Sanaka Hospitals Durgapur; Santiniketan Medical College Bolpur; GNIDSR Panihati; HIDSAR Haldia; Kusum Devi Sunderlal Dugar lain Dental College Cossipur allotment cum admission desks shall be placed at RGKar Medical College Kolkata, in the interest of public service.
