AIIMS Announces Result Of Round 1 Seat Allocation For INI CET January 2024 Session
Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the result of round 1 of seat allocation for the INI CET January 2024 session.
The result includes Roll No, Over All Rank, Category, PWBD, Allotted Subject/Specialty, Allotted Institute, and Category/Roster Point of Allocated Seat. The result has been released rank-wise. To view the result, click on the link below –

This list includes all qualified candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of Seat Allocation. Those who didn’t register for seat allocation have been marked NR/NP. Candidates who did not participate/register in the 1st Round of Seat Allocation are NOT ELIGIBLE for the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation but can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation, if any.
Based on the certificates (OBC/EWS) uploaded by the candidates as per Prospectus, the preliminary verification of the validity of certificates has been done. Accordingly, candidates who had uploaded valid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered in the claimed category, and candidates who did not upload valid certificates or uploaded invalid certificates (OBC/EWS) have been considered as UR merit list.
For the 2nd Round, the order of the Seat Allocation process will be based on the merit order used for the 1st Round (including institutional preference seats), with no further change for the eligible candidates for the 2nd Round.
Procedure to be followed by candidates who have been allotted PG course/subject in the 1st round of seat allocation –
All candidates who have been allotted a seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) in the 1st Round of Seat Allocation are required to login through the portal by visiting the website of AIIMS and actively exercise one of the following options by 5.00 PM on the 12th December 2023.
Failure to select any of the options below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated Institute and subject/Specialty, and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 2nd Round –
1. Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation
2. Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation
If the candidates choose Option 2 and participate in the 2nd Round and are allocated another seat (better choice) as per their choice exercised in the 01st Round, then they will have to accept the seat allocated during the 2nd Round. The seat allocated in the first round shall be considered vacated, and the same shall be automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to join seats allotted in 1st round or upgraded seats shall lead to impositions of penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh.
Instruction for each option is as follows –
Option 1: If Option 1, i.e. ACCEPT allotted Seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation, is selected, then,
1. It must be noted that by exercising this choice, the candidate is opting not to participate in further rounds of seat allocation.
2. The candidate will have to report at the Institute (as per point 9, 10 of the information brochure for 1st round of seat allocation dated 20.11.2023) by 5.00 PM on 12th December 2023 (except Holiday and Sunday) with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at AIIMS website), seat allocation letter/slip from portal and deposit original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificate OR self-attested photocopies of certificates with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the “AIIMS MAIN GRANT ACCOUNT”. The DD will be refunded/returned when the original certificates are deposited within five days.
3. If original certificates are not deposited, these will have to be submitted within five days; otherwise, admission will be cancelled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and the candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in seat allocation.
4. In the event that a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person by 5.00 PM on 12th December 2023, the admission will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of seat allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the open round of seat allocation, if any.
Option 2: If the option of “ACCEPT allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation” is selected, then
The candidate will have to report to the Institute (as per point 9,10 of the information brochure for 1st Round of Seat Allocation dated 20.11.2023)by 5.00 PM on 12th December 2023 (except Holiday and Sunday) with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the “MyPage” after login at AIIMS website), seat allocation letter/slip from online portal and deposit original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificate or self-attested photocopies of certificates with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the “AIIMS MAIN GRANT ACCOUNT”. The DD will be refunded when the original certificates are deposited.
In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person (as per the Information Brochure) by 5.00 PM on 12th December 2023 (except Holiday and Sunday), the offer of allocated seat will stand cancelled, and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation. No further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard. However, these candidates can participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation, if any.
The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation subject to the terms and conditions mentioned above.
If in the 2nd Round of seat allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another seat (better/higher choice seat) as per the choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the seat allocated in 2nd Round and the seat allocated in the 1st shall stand released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain the seat allotted in the 1st Round, and failure to join the seat allocated in the 2nd Round shall lead to the imposition of a penalty of Rs. 3 lakhs.
If any candidate who has been allocated a seat in the 1st Round of Seat Allocation does not respond in any of the above manner, his/her seat allocation shall stand cancelled, and he/she shall be ineligible for the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation.
Policy regarding the depositing of documents/certificates/Rs 3.00 Lakhs
The claim to the allotted seat by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable, as well as identity verification of the candidate. If a candidate fails to submit all required certificates (original) along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates OR self-attested photocopies of certificates with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the “AIIMS MAIN GRANT ACCOUNT” his/her candidature shall stand cancelled, the seat offered in 1st Round shall be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in 2nd Round of seat allocation process. However, the candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation, if any.
List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates OR self-attested photocopies of certificates with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the “AIIMS MAIN GRANT ACCOUNT” -
1. Offer Letter (From MyPage after logging in)
2. Seat allocation Slip (take a print after online acceptance of the allocated Seat (Institute-subject/speciality)
3. Final Registration Slip (From MyPage after logging in)
4. Admit Card issued by AIIMS (From MyPage after logging in)
5. Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations
6. MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate
7. Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training on or before 31st January 2024 for all INIs
8. Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council
9. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)
The candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable -
1. SC/ST: Original Certificates issued by the competent authority
2. OBC/EWS: Original Certificates issued by the competent authority and issued within the dates mentioned below should be in English or Hindi. The community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. OBC(NCL)/EWS certificate should be same as provided to Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi within in due dates
3. Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus
4. All PWBD Candidates allotted the seat are required to report along with the Original PWBD certificate on 09.12.2023 (09:30 am) at LT-1, First Floor, Teaching Block, AIIMS, New Delhi, for verification of Disability certificate by the Medical Board. For the purpose of reporting under 1st round of seat allocation, all PWBD Candidates found eligible after verification of disability certificate are required to submit all certificates in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates OR self-attested photocopies of certificates with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakh only (Rupees Three Lakh only) in the name of the “AIIMS MAIN GRANT ACCOUNT” payable at Delhi
5. As all PWBD candidates have been called for seat allocation in the 1st Round, the seats at AIIMS under PWBD remaining vacant will be filled from candidates in respective constitutional categories as per merit and choices made. However, any seat vacated by any PWBD candidates will be made in the next/open round of allocation to participating PWBD candidates, and any seat remaining vacant will be filled from candidates of respective category as merit and choices made
6. The allocated seat of candidates, who fail to produce a valid certificate of PWBD category, will be forfeited, and the candidates will be permitted to participate in the further round under their respective constitutional categories subject to conditions applicable to the respective merit list
7. Any other certificate in respect of candidature as per prospectus INI-CET Part-B of the respective institute as applicable
OBC Certificate should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/Institute. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only to respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.
Valid dates of issuance of certificates –
Eligibility criteria and date of validity of certificates remain the same as published earlier, and the closing date of the application form shall be treated as 13.10.2023.
1. Date(s) of valid OBC(NCL) certificate: The OBC(-NCL) certificates should have been issued between 06.11.2022 to 05.11.2023 (date of Exam) both dates inclusive.
2. Date(s) of valid EWS certificate: The EWS certificate must be valid for the financial year 2023-2024 and issued between 01.04.2023 to 05.11.2023 (on or before the date of Exam), both dates inclusive based on the income of the year 2022-2023.
The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories [OBC (NCL), SC/ST/EWS] will be forfeited, and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.
Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted, and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible on the certificate.
Candidates who have been allotted a Seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) and have chosen 1 or 2 option that requires them to deposit original certificates along with one set of photocopies of all certificate OR photocopies of certificates with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the “AIIMS MAIN GRANT ACCOUNT” at allotted INIs as given below –
The DD shall be refunded only when original certificates are deposited.
Policies regarding eligibility for 2nd round –
1. The candidates who have been allocated a seat in the 1st Round and have chosen option 2 (mentioned above), and have fulfilled the requirements shall be eligible for the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation.
2. All the candidates who were eligible in the 1st Round but have not been allocated any seat will automatically be eligible for the next round. Those who have secured more than 50th percentile for UR Category & 45 percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NCL marks in the INI-CET but not called for 1st ROUND of seat allocation will not be eligible for the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation but will be eligible for Open Round of Seat Allocation.
3. All candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of seat allocation but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) shall not be considered eligible for the 2nd Round of seat allocation but will be eligible for the Open Round of Seat Allocation.
General rules adopted for 1st round of seat allocation –
Merit shall be the guiding principle for seat allocation. The merit list as published in the Result Notification No. 213/2023 dated 11/11/2023, shall be used to determine merit. The eligibility of claim to OBC/EWS seat is based on scrutiny of uploaded certificates as mentioned in the Information Brochure of 1st Round of Seat Allocation dated 20.11.2023.
All candidates, whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category, shall be eligible for the unreserved category seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) in order of merit subject to cut off UR Merit list.
Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category seats (Institute & Subject/Specialty).
For an available seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) in a particular category/ preference, a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the seat (Institute& Subject/Specialty) over a candidate lower in merit.
The validity of the dates of issue of the OBC/EWS certificate shall be as mentioned above in “POLICY REGARDING THE DEPOSITING OF DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES/Rs 3.00 Lakhs”
The seats (Institute & Subject/Specialty) available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weak Section (EWS), PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability), AIIMS Preferential seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty), Karnataka Domicile, North East Domicile, Rural Area (RA)
1. Unreserved seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): All candidates are eligible as per merit list
2. OBC seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only OBC candidates are eligible as per the merit list subject to submission of a valid caste Certificate within the due date as mentioned in the Information Brochure of 1st Round of Seat Allocation dated 20.11.2023 and Subsequent representation through Email to registered Email Address or in person.
3. SC seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only SC candidates are eligible
4. ST seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only ST candidates are eligible
5. EWS seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only EWS candidates are eligible as per the merit list, and online submission of valid caste Certificate within the due date as per as mentioned in the Information Brochure of 1st Round of Seat Allocation dated 20.11.2023 and Subsequent Email to registered Email Address or in person
6. PWBD seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only PWBD candidates are eligible
7. AIIMS Preferential seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty): Only graduates from respective AIIMS for the INICET January 2024 Session are eligible for UR seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) of the respective AIIMS as per published guidelines.
8. Institute (INST): - Institute stands for an applicant who has studied and obtained his/her MBBS Degree from JIPMER. The word Institute is not applicable to any other Medical Institution for the purpose of benefit against statutory reservations.
9. All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)
10. PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories) according to DOPT guidelines
11. AIIMS Preferential seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) for AIIMS graduates shall be available amongst the UR seat (AIIMS & Subject/Specialty) as per guidelines published on the website
Every candidate has been allocated a Seat (Specialty/Subject) as per his/her best choice provided, as available at that rank for the 1st Round. If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable), then the seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) has been allocated as unreserved and not the reserved category.
Seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) in the reserved category for a reserved candidate shall be allocated only if there is no corresponding seat (Institute & Subject/Specialty) available as unreserved for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank.
If a PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS, he/she has been given that choice. For Persons with Benchmark Disability (more than 40%), a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the seats (Institute & Subject/Specialty), and allocation has been done on the basis of merit.
Institutional Preference (IP) Allocation: For AIIMS, the Institutional Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus Part-B of AIIMS and guidelines published for the Session on the website.
JIPMER INST: For JIPMER – Puducherry, the Institute (INST) shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus Part-B of JIPMER and applicable Roaster.
Vacant seats (Institute & Subject/Specialty) in 1st Round of seat allocation shall be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.
All those candidates who filled choices in the Mock Round but did not edit (reorder/add/delete) later, the choices made in the Mock Round have been considered for the 1st Round of Seat Allocation subject to rules for eligibility and allocation.
All candidates must read the Information Brochure for 1st round of Seat Allocation, instructions given in the offer letter, Emails sent to the registered Email address and notices published on the website.
Participation in the 1st round is mandatory to be eligible for the 2nd round of seat allocation for MD/MS/MCH (6 YEARS)/DM (6 YEARS)/MDS, January 2024 Session.
