AIIMS Declares Final Results of PhD Entrance Exam January 2023 Session
Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has declared the final result of the PhD entrance examination January 2023 session.
Based on the written test (Stage-I & II) held on Saturday, the 1st of April 2023 and results declared on the 6th of April 2023, followed by the Departmental Clinical/Practical/Lab-based Assessment (Stage-III) held on the 18th of April 2023, the candidates have been selected in different Departments of AIIMS for admission to PhD Programme at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for January 2023 session.
The following are the subjects in which candidates have qualified –

3. Biotechnology
4. Community Medicine
5. Community Ophthalmology (RPC)
6. Laboratory Medicine
7. Laboratory Medicine (JPNATC)
8. Laboratory Oncology
9. Microbiology
10. Neurology
11. Neuropathology (NSC)
12. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
13. Oral Medicine & Radiology CDER
14. Paediatrics
15. Physiology
16. Preventive Oncology (IRCH)
17. Psychiatry
18. Reproductive Biology
19. Rheumatology
20. Stem Cell
The detailed result is enclosed in the notice below.
All candidates in the above merit list will be considered for seats in order of merit available in the respective department only, irrespective of the project they had applied to, subject to fulfillment of eligibility and other requirements as per the project.
Further, the allocations of seats shall be done by physical counseling at AIIMS, New Delhi. Candidates will exercise their choice of project in the respective department when called during the physical counseling as per their merit in their respective category. The choice thus made will be final, and no claim will be entertained in this regard after that.
The counseling schedule for the allocation of seats for admission to various PhD programs, January 2023 session, will be announced in due course of time. On the day of counseling, the candidates should bring their roll number/admit card and all original educational certificates/NOC (if required)/Experience Certificate(if any)/Certificate of National Entrance TestScore Card along with an Award Letter (for non-medical candidates) subject to fulfilling the required condition of point no. C General Eligibility-(B-a.ii) as mentioned in the PhD Prospectus for January 2023 session /any other certificate mentioned in the prospectus.
The candidates need to carry one photocopy of all documents (self-attested) and 2 passport-size photographs to be submitted at the time of verification of original documents. No candidate can attend the counseling without the original certificates/documents mentioned above. All candidates must be physically present for counseling. No request for an authorized representative on behalf of the candidate will be entertained.
The candidature is provisional. The candidates will be allowed for counseling subject to produce valid original certificates/documents as required for PhD selection. If a candidate fails to come for counseling in person, they will be marked absent, and their candidature will stand canceled. If the information/documents furnished by candidates are found to be incorrect in the later stage, their candidature will be terminated. No separate intimation will be sent for the counseling.
All seats in a single department will be clubbed, and candidates qualifying for them will be offered the project of their choice based on merit.
Candidates will be counseled for seat allotment based on their order of merit within the department. Candidates with their fellowships (OF) will be allowed to choose from both OF and FA seats, while candidates without their fellowships can choose only FA seats where they meet the eligibility criteria for the fellowship in the project—the last date of Joining the PhD The program for January 2023 session is 15.05.2023.
