AIIMS Delhi extends PhD January 2026 registration deadline, check revised schedule
New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS New Delhi, has extended the last date for online registration for admission to the PhD Programme for the January 2026 session, according to an official notification issued by the Examination Section of the institute.
As per the notice, candidates can now submit their online applications until February 6, 2026, up to 5:00 PM, extending the earlier deadline. AIIMS has also announced a revised timeline for subsequent stages of the admission process.
The status of applications and details of rejected applications, along with reasons for rejection, will be made available on February 11, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Applicants are required to check their application status by logging into their MyPage on the AIIMS examinations portal.
The admit cards for the PhD entrance examination will be uploaded on the official website on February 14, 2026. The PhD Entrance Examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 17, 2026 (Tuesday). The expected date for the declaration of results is February 26, 2026.
Following the written examination, the departmental assessment will be held on March 5 and 6, 2026, while the final result is slated to be announced on March 13, 2026. Candidates who are finally selected must complete the joining formalities by March 31, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-
