New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released details related to the 2nd Round of the seat allocation process for the MD/MS/DM/MCH/MDS July 2022 session.

Eligibility –

1. The candidates who have opted for Option-2 (accept the allotted seat and want to participate in the 2nd Round of Seat Allocation) in the 1st Round of Online Seat allocation and completed the due procedure of reporting as applicable in the 1st Round.

2. All the candidates eligible to participate but were not allocated seats in the 1st Round of online seat allocation as per their filled choices.

Not Eligible –

1. All those candidates who did not participate in the 1st Round.

2. All those candidates who were allotted seats in the 1st Round but did not choose any option online by 20th August 2022 by 5:00 pm.

3. All those candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 and have chosen Option 1 and completed necessary formalities towards joining the respective institutions by 20th August 2022 by 5:00 pm.

4. All those candidates who were allotted seats and chose option 1 or 2 but did not complete necessary formalities by 20th August 2022 by 5:00 pm.

Upper age limit –

NIMHANS, Bengaluru (As on 1st July 2022) –

MD Psychiatry –

1. General/Unreserved Category - 32 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.07.1990 are eligible)

2. OBC Category- 35 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.07.1987 are eligible) '

3. SC/ST Category-37 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.07.1985 are eligible)

4. Sponsored Category- 45 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.07.1977 are eligible)

MCh Neurosurgery (Post MBBS) – 32 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.07.1990 are eligible)

SCTIMST Trivandrum (As on 1st July 2022) - The age validation for Courses of SCTIMST under INI-CET for the July 2022 session –

1. General/Unreserved/OBC/EWS/Sponsored/Foreign National category40 Years (candidates Born on or after 01.07.1982 are eligible)

2. SC/ST – 45 Years (Candidates Born on or after 01.07.1977 are eligible)

Important details -

1. The candidates note that seat allocation for the 2nd Round will be done on the choices filled during the 1st Round of counseling if seats are available. Candidates are not allowed to add/delete/alter the seat filled during 1st Round of exercise of choices. The allocation will be done as per choices filled in 1st Round of counseling if seats are available.

2. Candidates who opted for Option 2 in the 1st Round of seat allotment and no better choice (institution and subject/specialty) is available during the 2nd Round of seat allocation, then the seat (institution and subject/specialty) allotted in the 1st Round will be retained in the 2nd Round of seat allocation.

3. All the candidates who shall be allocated seats in the 2nd Round must log in to the PG online seat allocation portal and actively choose the following option within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link.

4. Candidates choosing Option-A must have joined the seat allotted by upgradation/allotment in this Round. Candidates who have met upgradation cannot retain earlier assigned seats (if any). Failure to join the seat shall lead to impositions of the penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh.

5. Those candidates who will be allotted a seat in the 2nd Round of seat allotment but do not actively choose Option A to accept the offer and complete necessary formalities on 31st August 2022 by 5:00 pm will be considered as interested in joining the allocated seat/Institute and allocated seat will be forfeited. The seat shall be declared vacant for the next Round, if any.

6. The candidates who have been allotted a seat in the 1st Round and participated in the 2nd Round and no upgradation meet are also required to choose Option A actively on 31st August 2022 by 5:00 pm and complete the necessary formalities on the same day by 5:00 pm.

7. The candidates who choose Option A and accept the allotted seat should report to the allotted Institute on 31st August 2022 by 5:00 pm, and if they fail to do so will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.

8. Failure to log in and select an option within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link will also lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat.

9. All the candidates who are allocated seats are mandatorily required to report in-person to the allocated Institute within the date and times specified in the Important Dates link.

10. The Open Round of Online Seat Allocation schedule is available in the Important Dates link.

11. All disputes pertaining to the conduct of the INI-CET by AIIMS, New Delhi, and Online Seat Allocation will be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of Delhi only.

Documents to be brought at the time of reporting -

1. The candidates must deposit original certificates and one set of photocopies of all certificates or photocopies of certificates.

2. A Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs in the name of the "Director AIIMS, New Delhi" payable at SBI Ansari Nagar, New Delhi, at allotted INIs.

3. In the case of Demand Draft, original documents must be deposited within 5 days of reporting.

4. Candidates of constitutional reservation must show valid proof of their claim for a reserved seat at the reporting INIs when depositing original certificates. In case they do not possess a valid certificate. Their claim for the allocated reserved seat will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear in the further Round as UR candidates subject to cut-off in the UR merit list. The OBC/EWS certificate must be valid for admission to Central Govt. Institution.

5. Candidates availing PWBD horizontal reservation must show valid proof of their claim for allocated reserved seat at the reporting INIs when depositing original certificates. Confirmation of admission shall be subjected to verification of Disability by the Medical Board of AIIMS, New Delhi, for all candidates. In case they do not possess a valid certificate. Their claim for the reserved seat allocated will be nullified. However, they will be eligible to appear further in their respective category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS) candidates as applicable without PWBD reservation, subject to cut-off in their respective Category.

Foreign national candidates –

The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates. The choices filled in the online registration form as per Subject/ Institute will be final, and no alteration is allowed. All allocation of Foreign National/OCI candidates will be allocated based on the subject/Institute filled in the online registration for the July 2022 session.

Only one best Subject/Speciality and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation. The admission process will be done per the procedure available for other candidates. The seat matrix for the same has also been released.

Sponsored candidates –

The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to choices made by the candidates. If any discrepancy is found in online data with the Sponsorship certificate, valid information in the Sponsorship certificate will be accepted as per eligibility criteria.

The candidates note that they need not exercise of choice for this Round; it will be allocated as per the choices filled during the first Round, only as per Subject/ Institute, those are available in the Sponsorship Certificate. If the NOC has been received in place of the Sponsorship certificate, the seat allocation will be done as per the subject/Institute available in the online registration.

If the subject is not mentioned against the candidate's name in the Sponsorship certificate, no allocation will be done for that Institute. All Sponsored candidates will be allocated based on the Subject/Institute available in the Sponsorship Certificate/online registration for the July 2022 session. Only one best Subject/Speciality and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation. The admission process will be done per the procedure available for other candidates.

AIIMS has further notified that the candidates who have not been allocated any seat in the 1st Round of seat allocation, the allocation will be done in the 2nd Round of seat allocation as per their choice in order of merit if they follow the guidelines given in the Information brochure of 2nd Round of Seat Allocation. The subject counseling available in Sponsored Category for PGIMER is being conducted by PGIMER Chandigarh separately.
