Andhra PG medical admissions 2025 stray vacancy web options close on February 24 for 85 seats, check details

NTRUHS Opens PG Medical Stray Vacancy Round Under Competent Authority Quota

Vijayawada: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has released the official notification for exercising web options under the Stray Vacancy Round for PG Medical Degree and Diploma courses for the academic year 2025-26 under the Competent Authority Quota.

The stray round will be conducted for available seats in Government Medical Colleges, Private Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Medical Colleges, newly established Government Medical Colleges affiliated to Dr. NTRUHS, and SVIMS Tirupati.

Payment of Security Deposit of Rs.50,000/- through online mode in the respective login and Exercising Web Options can be done till 11.00 AM on 24-02-2026.

Security Deposit Amount:

To prevent seat blocking and ensure that valuable seats are effectively utilized during the Phase-III (Mop Up)/Stray round, the Competent Authority has decided to collect a refundable security deposit of ₹50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) through online payment. This applies to candidates in the Merit List under the Competent Authority Quota and intend to participate in the Phase-III (Mop Up)/ Stray round of counselling, subject to the following conditions:

i. Refundable Security Deposit of candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Stray Vacancy Round or subsequent rounds, if any, will be forfeited and such candidates shall also be debarred from participating A.P. State Counselling for admission to PG Medical Courses under both Competent Authority Quota seats & Management Quota seats for subsequent 1 (one) academic year.

ii. If the candidate joins the allotted seat, the Security Deposit amount will be refunded to the candidate after closure of admissions.

iii. If the candidate is not allotted seat, the Security Deposit amount will be refunded to the candidate after closure of admissions.

iv. Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled due to any reason. e.g. in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the Admission Authorities at the time of reporting or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission (within stipulated time)

Note: Candidates who have paid the security deposit during the Phase-III (Mop Up) round and not allotted any seat will be eligible to exercise web options in the Stray Vacancy Round without having to pay the security deposit again.

Web Options:

Eligible candidates will have to exercise fresh web options for Stray Vacancy Round.

Candidates participating in Stray Vacancy Round will have to furnish an undertaking with respect to allotment of seats at the time of exercising web options as under:

“I agree to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round of Dr. NTRUHS. I affirm that, I am not holding any seat in the previous rounds of NEET PG Counselling, 2025 of All India Quota/State Quota.

I understand that these seats are precious in nature. Hence, if I am allotted a seat during the Stray Vacancy Round, I will join the allotted seat. If, due to any reason I do not join the allotted seat my refundable security deposit will be forfeited and any action including legal may be taken by the Competent Authority.”

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Eligible candidates whose names are in the Final Merit Position notified in the University Website on 21-02-2026 are only eligible to exercise web options as per the above dates.

2. All the available vacancies are treated as “Unreserved Open General seats”. All the candidates of AP Domicile are eligible for all the seats as per Merit (Lists Annexed).

3. Seats in Minority colleges after exhaustion of Minority List will be allotted to Non- Minority candidates as per eligibility and Merit.

4. Eligible candidates:

a) The candidates who are not holding a seat or got no seats in Phase-I, Phase-II, Phase- III of counselling (AIQ, State, Deemed) can participate in Stray Vacancy Round.

b) The candidates who have been allotted, but not joined in Phase 1, Phase 2 of State Quota (both CQ & MQ) and Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 of All India Quota are eligible to participate in this stray counselling.

c) A Candidate who has not registered and no choice locked in the Phase 1 or Phase 2 or Phase 3(Mop up) ONLINE COUNSELLING will be permitted to attend Stray Round of ONLINE COUNSELLING.

5. Not Eligible Candidates:

a) The candidates who are holding PG (Medical) seat in Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 (Mop Up) of State Counselling (both CQ & MQ) are not eligible to participate in Stray round of counselling.

b) The candidate who is holding a seat allotted in Round 1 & Round 2 and Round 3 in All India Quota/Deemed universities (conducted by MCC/DGHS).

c) The candidates who have been allotted in Phase – III (Mop Up) of State Quota (both CQ & MQ) irrespective of their reporting status are not eligible to participate in this counselling.

d) The candidates who have been allotted in stray round of All India Quota/Deemed universities (conducted by MCC/DGHS) are not eligible to participate in State Stray Round of counselling.

e) All India Stray Round allottees are requested not to exercise web options. The candidates who have been allotted in stray round of All India Quota/Deemed universities (conducted by MCC/DGHS) are not eligible to participate in State Stray Round of counselling, regardless of whether they applied or chose options in that round.

f) The Candidates who have been allotted seats in the CQ Stray Round will not be eligible for the MQ Stray Round, regardless of whether they applied or chose options in that round.

6. If a candidate is allotted a seat in Stray round, he/she has to compulsorily report & join the allotted seat/college else the Security Deposit will be forfeited and he/she shall also be debarred from participating A.P. State Counselling for admission to PG Medical Courses under both Competent Authority Quota seats & Management Quota seats for subsequent 1 (one) academic year. 7. Vacant seats for Stray Vacancy round Annexed for this Notification. Hence, the candidates are therefore advised to exercise options for the all seats in the colleges as per the available vacancies as per their priority if they are really interested to join the Seat.

8. Candidates are advised to exercise options in Courses and colleges in which they are genuinely interested. If they are not interested to join any specialty or college then they are advised not exercise options for the same and avoid seat blocking. Severe disciplinary and criminal action as deemed fit will be initiated against candidates who indulge in SEAT BLOCKING.

9. Candidate can download the provisional allotment order on payment of University fee of Rs.23,600/- through payment gateway and report to the Principal of the allotted College on or before the date specified in the allotment order.

10. The allotted candidates shall report at the allotted college immediately in view of NMC, New Delhi schedule. Hence, candidates are advised to keep in touch with University website for information on Stray allotments.

11. The University fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

12. As per G.O.Ms.No.251, HM&FW (C1) Dept., dt.02-10-2022 each Non-service candidate admitted into PG (Medical) course in State Quota/Competent Authority Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges/Private Medical Colleges shall execute a bond to serve the Government of Andhra Pradesh compulsorily in APVVP/DME, A.P Hospitals for a period of one year after completion of PG(Medical) Degree course. If they violate the bond condition either by not joining or by not completing the stipulated service period of one year within a maximum period of 18 months after completion of the PG (Medical) Degree course, a penalty of Rs.40,00,000/- (Rupees forty lakhs only) on PG (Medical) Degree candidates shall be levied. The Principals shall obtain a bond in the prescribed proforma.

13. TUITION FEE: The following is the Tuition fee structure for the academic year 2025-26 to be payable for the Competent Authority Quota seats in Private Un-aided Medical Colleges as per G.O.RT.No.777, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated 09-11-2025 of Government of Andhra Pradesh subject to the outcome of the W.P.Nos.32975, 33162 & 35090 of 2022.
