BFUHS extends round 1 NEET PG counselling, details

Punjab: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has announced an extension in the schedule for the first round of the NEET PG online counselling for the academic year 2025 for admission to postgraduate medical courses in Punjab.
According to the official notice issued by the Registrar, BFUHS, the choice-filling process for candidates participating in the first round of NEET PG 2025 counselling has now been extended until further notice. Also, the remaining counselling schedule has been postponed and the new schedule will be intimated later on.

According to the earlier schedule, the filling/submitting online choices/preferences of college/speciality of the NEET PG 2025 counselling round 1 through the online portal was scheduled from 07 to 10 November 2025, Upto 05.00 PM.
Highlighting that many postgraduate medical aspirants are in trouble due to incomplete registration/NRI quota issues because of technical glitches, the doctors have now requested the Union Health Ministry and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to reopen the portal.
The doctors' demand comes amid the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) announcing an extension of the choice filling process for Round 1 of NEET PG Counselling for the academic year 2025 until further notice.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that through a notice dated 06.11.2025, MCC has informed all the candidates that the competent authority has decided to extend the Choice Filling of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2025 till further notice, as the seat matrix has to be revised, due to information received from the National Medical Counselling (NMC) for changes in PG seats and the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for withdrawal of 169 PG DNB seats after the start of Round-1 of PG Counselling.
Therefore, the MCC of DGHS is in the process of revising the seat matrix in the larger interest of candidates, after removing excess seats and reapplying the roster to maintain the reservation policy. Hence, the Revised Schedule and Seat matrix of Round-1 of All India PG Counselling 2025 will be uploaded shortly on the MCC website. Also, the State PG Counselling schedule will be revised and updated on the MCC website.
