Breaking News: Education Minister announces NEET 2021 dates
New Delhi: The wait is finally over of MBBS aspirants. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, taking to his official Twitter handle announced the dates of the exam
"The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 protocols. The application process will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA website(s)," he said on his official twitter handle
" In order to ensure social distancing norms, number of cities where examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020," he added
"To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured," he further said
National Testing Agency (NTA) is the exam conducting body for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 is expected to soon take out the notificaiton for the same
The candidates who desire to appear in NEET (UG) 2021 are advised to keep visiting the websites: https://nta.ac.in and https://neet.nta.nic.in/
With this, the Minister has put an end to all the speculations going around the NEET exam. NEET is the gateway to major medical courses in the country including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS. Earlier the exam was supposed to be conducted on May 1, 2021, but in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the same had to be postponed. The fresh dates of NEET 2021 we also announced in the month of March to be held on August 2021, the but same was again postponed.
There were speculations going around that NEET 2021 will be held in the month of September 2021 but there was no clarity of the date. Earlier there was another fake NTA notice that was doing round on social media that claimed that NEET 2021 is going to be held of 5th September, however, the government soon called out on the fake notice. The Minister has now announced the same on his twiiter handle.
