CENTAC Extends admissions deadline for Round 1 NEET PG, MDS Candidates, details
Puducherry: Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has extended the last date for admission for round 1 PG Medical and Dental allotted candidates.
As per the notice, the candidates can join till 29th August 2023 (5:00 pm). The selected candidates should download the allotment order using their dashboard login credentials. Candidates residing outside of Puducherry Region may report to the Colleges concerned either directly or through online mode. Candidates reporting through online mode should visit the college website for further details.
The candidates are requested to transfer the fee fixed and notified by the Government of Puducherry to the CENTAC account through NEFT/RTGS Challan generated using their dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment.
Admission to the PG Medical (MD / MS) courses is based on the NEET PG 2023 Rank, and PG Dental (MDS) courses are based on the NEET MDS. Round 1 and Round 2 allotments will be Online. Mop-up and Stray vacancy Counselling can be either Online or Offline. CENTAC reserves the right to do either Online or Offline counseling based on necessity.
Online allotments are done based on the candidate's course preferences, category of seats, reservation, and NEET Rank. Both Round 1 and Round 2 allotment is based on the course preferences submitted by the candidates before the last date for updating the course preferences. If the course preferences are empty, then allotment will not be done.
NEET PG and NEET MDS counselling is conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC). It is a common admission portal for all the colleges of Puducherry and is established by the Government of Puducherry. Under this, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and appeared in such a qualifying examination are eligible for admission. There are various courses under its umbrella.
