DME Assam notifies round 3 NEET PG counselling schedule, check details

Guwahati: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME Assam) has issued an official notification announcing the 3rd round of online counselling for admission to vacant Post Graduate medical seats under the Assam State Quota for the academic session 2025.

The counselling will be conducted for seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati.

As per the educational notice, the “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment upto date)”. Candidates who appeared in NEET-PG-2025 conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and who meets the cut-off score in NEET PG-2025 may participate in the online counselling. Further, the name and NEET PG-2025 Roll No. of the candidate must be present in the State provisional merit list published by this Directorate.

Online Registration for the counselling will be available at the official website of this Directorate, from 03/01/2026 to 05/01/2026 midnight. Candidates who have already registered and participated in round 1st & 2nd state counselling need not register again and shall be able to take part in the online choice filling of 3rd round of counselling for fresh allotment or change of college. After completion of online registration process, online choice filling will be available from 06/01/2026 to 07/01/2026, (5 PM). Locking of choice will be available on 07/01/2026 (4 PM to 11.55 PM), after which the choices will be locked automatically if not locked earlier by the candidate.

Processing of seat allotment will be from 08/01/2026 to 10/01/2026. After processing the data, a college-wise and subject-wise list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed along with modalities of admission on 11/01/2026. The provisionally selected candidates shall have to get admitted in the respective allotted institutions on 16/01/2026 to 17/01/2026.
