DME Tripura begins Round 3 NEET PG Counselling, Candidates Can Submit Applications Till 29th September
Tripura: The Director of Medical Education (DME Tripura) has released the schedule and seat matrix for round 3 of the NEET PG counselling process.
Submission of application in prescribed format with all copies of relevant documents (with the document of original Draft/Original counter foil of Bank Deposit against registration fees, whichever and wherever applicable) to be submitted physically at the office of the Directorate of Medical Education at Bidurkarta Chowmohani, Agartala till 29-09-2023 up to 5 pm.
The demand draft shall have to be payable in favour of the “Directorate of Medical Education” from any nationalized bank, Preferably SBI. The bank details are enclosed in the notice below.
Round 3 will be held offline in continuation with the earlier two rounds of Tripura State NEET PG 2023 counselling, consisting of the same basic eligibility criteria guidelines, Flow chart steps of counselling, etc., as published on the DME website earlier in this regard. The qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2023 counselling is set to “ZERO” as per the notice issued by MCC on 20-09-2023.

Eligibility Criteria –
If a candidate registered in Round 1 and/or registered in Round 2 and is not allotted a seat and candidates who availed free exit (allotted but not admitted) in Round 1 and did not get any seat in Round 2. (No need to pay any Registration fees for Round 3).
Candidates upgraded from Round 1 to Round 2 but not joined (payment of fresh Registration fees).
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 opt for willingness to upgrade from Round 2 to Round 3 (payment of fresh Registration fees).
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 but resigned from Round 2 seat and want to participate in Round 3 (payment of full Registration fees).
Fresh registration for fresh candidates shall be with payment of the full registration fee (same as Round 1 & 2) for Round 3.
Fresh registration/new registration of Round 3 -
1. Those who have not registered in Round 1 or Round 2 (with payment of full Registration fees).
2. Those who have already resigned from Round 2 need to register again (with payment of full Registration fees).
Candidates registered in Round 2 and exited with forfeiture of security deposit, without joining, can register again (with payment of fresh Registration fees).
The candidate is now allowed to upgrade the seat from Round 2 to Round 3 (with payment of fresh Registration fees.
Candidates admitted to a Round 1 seat did not get allotment(upgraded) in Round 2 and then surrendered the Round 1 seat in due time (on or before 02-09-2023). No need to pay Registration fees, but have to submit the filled application.
Details Issued -
1. If admitted to an allotted/upgraded to a Round-3 seat, the candidate cannot resign or upgrade from his or her Round-3 seat.
2. If a candidate does not join a Round-3 allotted seat, he may exit with forfeiture of the security deposit (if any) and elimination (cannot participate in further Rounds of counselling of the State/AIQ).
3. If a candidate is freshly registered in Round 3 and is not allotted any seat, the candidate is eligible to participate in a further Round (subject to availability of seats).
4. Candidates getting upgraded in Round 3 shall not have any claim on the earlier Round allotted/admitted seats. The allotment in the offline counselling of Round 3 shall be deemed final in this regard.
Schedule of offline Round-3 Counselling –
Offline Round 3 Counselling will be held at Karl Landsteiner Auditorium, Agartala Government Medical College(AGMC), Agartala, at 2 pm on 30-09-2023. All the registered candidates are instructed to report for the Counselling at 1 pm and put their own signature in the attendance register of the Counselling, which will be the last step to be considered as participating candidates for the offline counselling. The attendance signature of any candidate after starting the Counselling will not be considered.
Reporting -
Reporting should be done by the candidate who has been allotted a seat at the office of the Directorate of Medical Education at Bidurkarta Chowmohani, Agartala, scheduled from 03-10-2023 to 04-10-2023 up to 5 pm.
Nomination –
Nomination will be issued from 04-10-2023 to 05-10-2023 up to 5 pm to the intending allotted candidates.
Admission –
Admission of nominated candidates following physical verification of original documents, which will be conducted in the admitting Institution, is scheduled from 05-10-2023 to 10-10-2023 up to 5 pm. The last date of joining a Round 3 nominated and allotted seat is 10-10-2023 up to 5 pm.
The allotted candidates seeking admission shall have to execute and submit the necessary applicable bond (Service bond before getting nomination and Discontinuation bond during admission).

As communicated by NMC to TMC, Dated-05-09-2023…..“at Tripura Medical College for the purpose of renewal of recognition of MD Pathology qualification for 01(one) seat, it has been decided NOT to grant recognition to the above mentioned qualification”. And in a public notice dated 19-06-2023 by NMC, “the existing recognized permitted PG board specialty seats available with medical colleges/Institutes will be considered for admission for academic session 2023-24 and seat matrix will be prepared accordingly. Colleges may reduce the number of seats in special circumstances”. As such, the open quota recognized seat of pathology, speciality, as earlier stated, is kept in abeyance to be included as such in the seat matrix until further order from the Authority. In the event of noncompliance or unsatisfactory compliance of explanation, etc., within the stipulated period, “it will result in stoppage of admission in terms of regulation 6(2) and 6 (3) of PGMER, 2000”, as communicated by NMC. The PGMER regulations,2000, with amendments and permission from the Central Government, shall be applicable.
